Pressing the exit button twice did not solve the problem.
He can't get to the OSD menu! The problem is that the brightness menu comes up as soon as you plug in the Monitor. The power button does work to turn it off and on. But pressing anything twice will get the menu to come up to pick VGA, HDMI1, HDMI2, ect.
Hi,
While in the On Screen Display Menu the Icon second from the bottom contains settings for OSD timeout, you want to get to this function and set it to 20 seconds.
This is a link to the online PDF manual, go to page 18 for more detail on accessing and using this setting.
On page 19 is the information on resetting the factory reset functions.
Do this, if you are struggling with the use of these buttons, read the
manual for assistance. The manual is something you can read and reread
and may help you immensly in getting to these controls.
On the last page of this online manual is the contact information for Hanspree and they have a toll free numberr. Wait until the weekend is over before calling. If anyone is working the phones on a holiday weekend they are low on the seniority list. You may or may not get good service on weekends.
Regards,
Worldvet
