I want to Install Sound card driver in Intel Board. How can I do this?
Hi,
left click this link & choose you're operating system for the Intel D865PERL motherboard drivers. (Reinstall the driver software).

For windows XP/home & pro. Click on this link;

After reinstalling the software & you're sound does not seem better than the built in sound chip may be going bad.
Other factors can also cause the effects you are having. Run windows system defrag. Also run windows Disk cleanup. These tools are found in windows System tools. Lastly you can buy & add a PCI sound card into an emty PCI slot to bypass the built in sound card. If you choose to do this you will need to enter the bios & disable the built in sound device.
Good Luck!
Mike
Mine was a used D865PERL motherboard that I picked up on CL. It wasn't until I RTFM that I found that the front panel audio pins needed 2 jumpers to reactivate the rear speaker plug. The sound driver on the intel site works fine. The Realtek drivers don't work and causes a reboot.
