Intermatic R8806P101C - Sprinkler-Irrigation Timer - 14-Day Skipper - NEMA Logo
Posted on Nov 08, 2010

The clock does not move forward. If I manually turn it, then it will work and turn on the system where the pins are. I haven't tried anything to fix it because I don't know where to start. Intermactic timer clock. Not sure of the model. It is a 14day timer.

Sprinkler and irrigation timers are 14 day.

Intermatic has a page with manuals:
Open page, click plus next to timers and scroll down to sprinkler and irrigation timers
http://www.intermatic.com/customer%20service/instruction%20manuals.aspx
It's good to have the manual on hand in case the product is discontinued

That being said, it sounds like the clock motor is bad.
Snap timer free from box and tip out to see clock motor located on back of timer.
Get the number off clock motor

Intermatic site shows pages of clock motors: They are priced high, but cheaper than new timer.
https://www.intermaticstore.com/ASPI700W.pgm?task=menucntrl&menuopt=TM

Aplus supply sells assortment of Intermatic clock motors.
http://www.aplussupply.com/intermatic/timermotors.htm

To search these pages quickly for your clock numbers, use browser Find (Click edit at top of bowser, click Find)

I have an Intermatic #R8806P101C time which has suddenly decided not to keep track of days but keeps track of time. The result is little if any scheduled watering.
What can be the problem with the small day of the week wheel?

Thanks

Does anyone know how to turn off an intermatic E1010? We moved into our new home and have noooo idea how to turn off this thing. We wanna turn off the outside lights . Please help!

You should be able to turn the dial till lights go out, then pull the red and black "pins" from the dial. It works like a clock, one pin is set at the time to go on, the other at the time to go off. By turning the dial forward till the light goes off, then pulling both pins after they go out, they won't go back on till you install the pins back in at the times of your choice.

Bulova wall dual chime clock stopped yet pendulum works.Hands are free. Chimes will work. Battery still too low?

I am not familiar with this clock but ask did you just turn it backwards one hour, if so then I have found some do not like this while others are not so fussed.
I think maybe its mechanics have jammed a bit, I would try to move it forwards an hour or two and see if it restarts, once it starts to work gently move it forward a bit at a time.

Figure you have tried a new battery, sorry best I can think of.......

How to adjust a Hermle grandfather clock?

you can try this although it may not work with your movement: set the clock at 9 and then move the hands forward past the 12 position. count the strikes. move the hands backward to the 9 position and then advance forward to the 12 position. count the strikes. did the strikes increase by one? if so, keep doing the same thing until your get 12 strikes when you are on the 12. then you can move forward and set the correct time and have the correct # of strikes.

We can't figure out how to set our timer. Where and what are the segmented pins. Nothing is labeled. There is no diagram with the timer. Thank-you. Joy and Fred.

Hi Joy and Fred.
You posted under Woods outdoor timer, but don't give specific brand or model
Open following links for detailed information and illustrations:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#troubleshoot
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59383

Segments are usually on outer edge of dial.
Some timers the segments lift up, some push down, some pull up and out, etc.
Use a fingernail or small tool and fiddle around with it.
Some timers have pins located on dial face that click inward or outward. Use small tool and move them in and out.
Some timers have trippers that you attach to outer edge of dial.
If you are confused, open links above for illustrations.

After moving some segments-pins. Plug lamp into timer.
Turn lamp on. Plug timer into outlet.
Manually rotate timer dial and watch how lamp turns on-off.
Move timer switch both directions and manually rotate dial to see lamp turn on-off.
These tests will show you how to set pin-segments-trippers and switch for your specific timer.

The timer dial rotates as time passes. The dial is a simple clock that rotates because of a clock motor.
The dial causes segments-pins move small lever that turns lamp on-off.
Just like any clock, the correct time has to be set. To do this: rotate dial until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.

I want to reset the timer for hours of on-off for out water heater but can't figure out how to push the little white teeth in or out. Model is 265-1.

1) Open following link to read about re-circulation systems:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html

2) Image below show typical FM1 analog timer dial with pins:
Move pins with fingernail or small tool.
To test if pins need to be moved in or out, set pins each direction and manually rotate dial clockwise and listen when pump turns on-off.
How timer operates: clock motor rotates dial continually, pins on dial move lever that turns circuit on-off.
To set current time, manually rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.
Some timers have a selector switch: move switch to Auto, or Timer, or Timer ON. Again you can manually rotate dial and check which setting is correct.

Have model T103 Intermatic Timer that have been turning on the store lights for the past 20 years. Recently the timer does not turn the lights on in the morning and I have to manually flip the switch to...

Sounds like you need new ON pin
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INTERMATIC-Timer-Tripper-2E054?Pid=search

d3c9f33.jpg

The ON-OFF pins rotate around until they come in contact with a lever. The clock motor pushes the pin forward until it clicks the on-off lever. The pins are softer metal than the lever, so the pins wear out.

If you need a new T-103 timer some day > the new timer mechanism can snap right into the old box without changing boxes.

If the dial is not rotating, then you can replace the T100 series 125 Volt clock motor (the T103 clock motor is 125V)
