I actually have a 3 piece Comet Rice Cooker, My Mother passed recently and this was something she passed on to us. We tried to use it last night and didn't know what we were doing. Could someone help? The bottom pan has a water line on it and the top pan, the one with holes in it, has a water and rice line on it. Do you just follow the instructions on the pan? My problem is how long and at what heat do you cook it? B. Baker, Texas

There are lines on the inside of the inner pot that show how much rice and water to put in. It is roughly 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water. Put this inside the lower pot, put a cup or two of water in the lower pot and get it boiling, then turn it down with just enough heat to keep the water boiling. Just make sure the water doesn't boil away. The rice will be done in about 45 mins. The nice thing about this cooker is that you can't really overcook the rice. It will keep it warm and ready to serve for some time.
