SOURCE: need sound driver info for asus motherboard k8m800

There should be a sticker on your notebook with the correct model number.
Make sure your audio is enabled within your bios.
Here is the like for Asus M70 series systems;
http://www.asus.com/Search.aspx?SearchKey=m70

Once you find your correct model, "example": M70SA-B1. Create a folder on your desktop & give it a name. Download the audio driver into that folder. Uncompress the audio file named simular to, Audio_VT_080130.zip
You may need the program winzip to preform the uncompression. If you do not have winzip you can download a 45 day trial version from the link below;
http://download.cnet.com/WinZip/3000-2250_4-10003164.html
Once uncompressed, run the setup.exe file.
If the above doesn't help you can call Asus tech @ 812-282-2787 EDT.
Asus will provide you with the correct model number & the link to download the audio driver software.

Cheers!
Mike

Update bios for Chaintech S865PE Motherboard

The home page is here:

http://www.chaintech.com.tw/a40_downloads.php

I can not find the mainboard of yours.

Remember that not to upgrade the bios if the system is running fine.

The mainboard is a intel based mainboard and you can use the site in seach for drivers:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

You have to be 100 % sure its the right bios (if you can find it)
or the mainboard WILL be destroyed if you flash the bios with a wrong one.

Good luck

The board is not labeled, I have no idea where to connect the wires. I'm working with a chaintec # 7njl6-00sag motherboard, and it does not have the front panel connectors marked.

I didn't realize I didn't have adobe reader, once I downloaded it I was able to
download the manual from google, & found the front panel hookup.
