I am dealing with the same problem. After looking at product photos, it appears all harness straps go out from the back of the pad thru the same opening. This is not fun. I would not buy this again. :-(

Turn the metal clip sideways to slide it through the cover and then through the back of the chair. Get the owner's manual and instructions online if you need more help at www.evenflo.com

I HAVE A CAR SEAT THAT I TOOK APART IN ORDER TO WASH THE CUSHIONS BUT NOW I DONT KNOW HOW TO PUT THE STRAPS BACK TOGETHER

There is normally a splitter in the back, a metal piece with two hooks that is attachted to the adjustment strap. the sholder straps latch onto this. You can locate the appropriate manual here: http://www.coscojuvenile.com/usa/eng/Instructions The pages in the back normally discuss reassembly after cleaning.

I need to put the shlder/lap strap back in

the center of the belt will be under the seat coming up through the holes, place the two clips on the strap followed by the chest clip, then the neck protector pads. Push the ends of the strap through the two top holes. Route it down over the metal but under the plastic (on the back side) and attach both ends to the metal adjuster underneath. The receiver clip, you just turn 90 degrees and push through desired hole until the end catches.

I am having trouble adjusting shoulder straps

Funny, I was just putting this seat back together after taking it apart to wash it. It is a very difficult process, simply because you have to remember which order to loop the buckles through the stap.

First, I assume you want to switch from the lower holes for the shoulder, to the upper. (If not, then there is no adjustment needed. Unless the strap is caught in the back which will make the straps uneven when you go to tighten them. This has happened to me).

So, first you need to remove the straps. Once the seat is removed from the car, look at the back of the seat and you will see a metal bracket that is holding three straps. The bottom strap is not removable from that bracket. The top two strap are attached to the bracket with loops. Remove the straps by sliding them out (edge of the strap has to come out the hole first, then the rest will slide out very easily), Once out, from the front of the seat, pull the strap through the holes

At this point you must decide whether you simply want to adjust the seat, or wash it too. I highly suggest washing it if you haven't done so recently. If you gone this far, go all the way. But since you only asked to adjust it, and the method for removing the cover is much more complicated, we''ll move on to adjusting

Now that you have the straps pulled through, be sure that the straps are not twisted, and simply push them through the desired holes - upper or lower - and reconnect to the loops brace (remember, edge in first).

If you are having problems with the straps not being even when tightened (one side tight on shoulder, other side loose), remove the seat and look to see if the strap is caught on something.

I'm retiring my seat today after six years and two kids. I could use it up to 80lbs, but it makes it difficult to get to the third row of seats in my car. So now we have two no-back boosters.

Need help rethreading safety strap

My son has special needs so I must wash his seat often. I can not remember how to put the straps locks back so...

First, whenever I wash the car seat cover, I rethread the straps immediately. I only unhook one at a time and look at the one that is still threaded to see how to re hook the one I am working on.

Since you can't do that at this point, I suggest going to a store that sells car seats, look at how the straps are hooked and if you have a picture phone - take a photo!

Need help reassembling the straps after washing the seat cover

First turn seat upside down. There should be a slot on each side under the seat, run strap through each slot and turn back over. Pull strap up evenly, put on clasp part on each side, then put chest clasps on, run your straps through back and secure to strap comes between legs.

How do I put back together the straps on my car seat

would assume you're talking like a booster seat with the back just no 5pt harness. You just buckle them up like you do. If they have those arm rest looking things, the part where it buckels goes under that one arm rest and the shoulder strap should go resting over his shoulder like yours. Some of them have a loop up top for the shoulder strap to go through. Just make sure that the toddler does NOT put their arm over the shoulder part of the belt. If you get into an accident this could break his/her ribs.

I need this car seat manual bad!!!!

if you have a 22260 car seat is easy
1, on the base of the seat there is a push down clip that you need to push down and remove the steel bar of by sliding it out
2 unclip the seat strap for the seat by removing the brass "Y" on the back .PAY ATTENTION ON HOW YOU REMOVE THE STRAP IS ALL ONE PICE AND YOU NEED TO LOOP IT FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHERE
3. on the back of the seat there is 2 screws that you need to remove. the you remove the adj. back.
4. remove the cover and wash you can place it in the dryer or hand out to dry
5. instill the same way you removed
good luck
