Same sound issue please help me fix.thx
Call Sharp at 800-237-4277. I explained the problem, told them about the FIXYA website and said that many others were having the same problem. They gave me a case # and said they would have their technical center set up a date to check out the TV and would extend a complimentary warranty.
Since posting that comment, Sharp has acknowledged the problem. The screws secruing the inverter unit loosen and the ground becomes intermittent causing no or intermittent backlight. Refer to Sharp Techincal Bulletin: LCDTV-211. Replace the screws with the new ones noted in the bulleitin, and it resolves the problem immediately. Takes about five minutes.

sound turns off after 5 min of operation, need new sound board or is there a fix I can do my self.
I have the LC32D6U. Audio problems have started. No audio via HDMI. Intermittent audio via component. No audio via rca jacks. The audio can be reset by unplugging the tv and plugging it in after "x" period of time. If I turn the tv off then goodby audio when I turn it back on. If I leave it on I can hear audio through the left speaker. After some period of time all audio goes off.
