When I go to send a text message I get "Network Settings Unavailable". How do I fix this.

go to message setting>> sending profile>> type/format

here you can see many options like "text,pagging,email,fax etc"

now select "text" then change/ok

try going to messaging.
then scroll all the way to the bottom and click on message settings.
then hit text message.
then try text message center.
see if your circle is highlighted on 'your service provider'.
If not then highlight it.
if this doesn't work call customer care 611 from your phone.

for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it

this solves your messaging problem ...

try to resete to factory settings

go to message setting, text message, text meassage center, then try changing to another center, ( i've got 3 dif centers to pic from but only the first one lets me send text messages)

I have this problem on Telstra when I restart the F480T.

To fix in Australia on Telstra:
- Widget->Messages
- Settings->Text messages
- Text message centre settings
- Edit Text message centre 1
- Centre address = +6141706700

Save.

You can get the centre address from anybody on the same network as you.

like i said in the above post, go into text messaging center and change the setting from empty to SMS
