How do you clean grout in between tiles in the bathroom

There are many ways to clean stained grout. You could try one of the commercial cleaners sold on the market and scrub it with a brush. You can also try creating your own cleaning solution. This way you will avoid using harsh chemicals in your home, which is always a good thing. You could try making a paste of baking soda and some water and use it to scrub the grout with, or you could spread some baking soda on the grout and then pour some vinegar on it. After about half an hour you should be able to scrub off the dirt easily. In some cases the grout is so dirty, that the only option is to remove it and apply new one. White vinegar and water

Grout residue is removed with an acid residue remover. The installer should have done that--call him back. If epoxy grout was used (not likely) it will be a real problem to remove.

I have used a solution of Baking soda and water....with a toothbrush but it only gets some of the dirt up.

The best thing to do is redo the grout and then SEAL it. The sealer seems to keep the grout looking like it's natural color for much longer.

My bathroom needs to be done right now and I was just starting to think about this.

I might try to do it myself first and if that small area doesn't go well then I might need to call my tile guy.

You should never clean the grout with a cleaner. That's what my tile guy said. Just water.

Chemicals turn the color quicker

dont steem this grout,,,it will only fall out or you could crack a tile,,,wipe on some strong bleach/loo cleaner and scrub it with a stiff brush its a lot safer than steeming it

The wood floor cleaner will work on your tile.

you should check the website of the manufacturer, be carefull as the grout between the tiles is the weakest link to keeping your floors solid...you may damage or fade the color of u'r grout if it is not protected...and if it is protected and has been sealed with a protectant, then you may be removing the sealant with the extreme hot steam from the carpet cleaner.

1st what type of tile do you have? many people use the word tile genericaly...ie: porecline tile?, ceramic tile, natural stone (which is porous), in general ceramic and porceline tiles do not need any protective finish maintenance with chemicals, that said ...no accumulation of foreign wax buildup and dirt should be present...so a mild mixture with white vinegar and cold water will clean your tiles very niceley and also is a bacteria sanitizer ( if you have food spills and any pets in the house). A good self squeeze sponge mop and pail is all you really need.....save your money and do not be fooled or swayed by such nonsense ...also once the floors have been washed and dried...you can then apply a good quality grout sealer with a hand sponge, and let it dry for 3 hours and then apply a 2nd coat overnight. This will help to keep any colorful penetrating fluids from affecting the color of your grout.

The Hoover model 800 has seperate brush assembly to do grout. The 500 model (yours) has only the one hight brushes so other means must be taken to do grout. I have a 500 and all tile floors and I'm bumbed too.

The Manufacturer suggests you clean the hose by removing the water tank dammed if u can get it off though.
