Text is stuck in my outbox

I've got a text message stuck in my outbox.  It sends the text about once a day, everyday . . . even though the message was written and sent about a week ago.  Each time it resends the message, it posts the most recent time it was sent. I've tried deleting the text from the outbox, clicking, Yes on the warning screen, but the message remains there.  Also, tried drilling into the text message and selecting menu, delete.  Whatever I do, it is stuck there.

The same problem, with an HTC TYTN. Emptying the deleted message folder should do the trick.

I had this same problem. Deleting and clicking "yes" at the warning screen would not remove the message from my outbox and the message kept resending for days.

Solution: In the Outbox, click "Menu" > Empty Deleted Items. Click "yes" at the warning. The message should now be gone from your outbox and your text buddy should now be able to regain sanity.

T-mobile credited back the resent text messages when I called them.

You have to MASTER RESET the phone and reload all settings. That was the only way we got rid of one of our users issue.

Make sure to sync your phone before you do this. You will loose all settings.

1. PRESS AND HOLD BOTH SOFT KEYS.
2. WHILE HOLDING DOWN SOFT KEYS, PRESS AND RELEASE THE POWER BUTTON, WAIT 3-5 SEC. (PHONE SHOULD POWER ITSELF ON BY DOING THIS)
3. RELEASE THE TWO KEYS SOFT KEYS.
4. WHEN SCREEN ON DASH LOOKS LIKE IT'S IN DOS FORMAT, PRESS SEND (GREEN ANSWER KEY)

Hi ! Every time I try to send a text message, it appears Memory full! Close some applications and try again.I did erase my pics as well as those file saved in my memory card, but it still hopeless. It's 3...

Go your message setting. There is option where you'll save your message and choose save to memory card.
Delete all message in inbox and outbox folder, delete all cache in your browser and close all active applications. Try to send text message.
If the notification "Memory full" still appear you must uninstall a one or more application (not just close it but uninstall it) to make some space in your phone memory. Choose application that you don't use the most.
If the problem persist, format your phone back to factory setting.

Hope this help and if helpful RATE please.

When sending a text msg, it goes to outbox, wont send

I had the same problem and I read on down and saw someone's phone was stuck in flight mode. I remembered that for some reason, my phone was in flight mode the other day, so I went in and took it off. I realized the problem had been since that time. So, I put the phone back in flight mode and was able to delete the message from my outbox. I put it back in normal mode and now I can send texts. Yes!!!!

Phone Sending MMS Messages as Default

The phone allocates a certain amount of storage for messages on a whole. Even though there may still show space available for text messages, you have hit an invisible "limit" and the phone is now defaulting to MMS messages because there is "room" there. Delete a fair amount of messages and you should be able to start sending regular text's again.
