If you can enter the bios, you can load failsafe settings.
Your manual is here, it is very slow to download, so i gave up half way through :)

Just look for the silver battery. Either remove battery and replace, or look for jumper (closest to battery with one pin showing, and two covered by the jumper) Remove the jumper and place over middle and previously uncovered pin, then move back to origional position.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: 1333 FSB processor only runs with fsb set to 1066 in bios

RIArchangel, you're board is not able to run 1333fsb; it can only run at 1066fsb. Though setting the bios to auto should not cause the system to lock up, unless you are over-clocking other settings in the system bios.
Changing you're memory to the faster dual channel 667 will increase the systems over all performance but it will not change the fact that the board can only run at 1066fsb.
If you have the time, take a read over this link. 1333fsb over 1066fsb. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/230788-30-1333-1066

Bios update for t5226... intel update will not work.. some people say it is locked by emachines. i am trying to put an e8400 in it, but i don't think that the processor is supported by the older bios...

It isn't the fact of the BIOS, it's the motherboard chipset.
The eMachines T5226 uses an Intel 945G.

This chipset only supports processors with up to a 1066MHz FSB.

Supporting Data:

1) eMachines T5226 specifications;

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T5226

2) List of Intel Chipsets, and more specifically the Pentium 4/Pentium D/Pentium EE chipsets,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_chipsets#Pentium_4.2FPentium_D.2FPentium_EE_Chipsets

The Intel 945G is the 12th one down, or last in the list.
Looking across to the right, you can see the Intel processors supported, and the maximum FSB support.
(533/800/1066)

The motherboard's BIOS also won't let you overclock the FSB.

The Intel Core 2 8400 has a 1330MHz FSB,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Core_2_microprocessors#.22Wolfdale.22_.2845_nm.29

The Intel 945G also won't support Intel processors with the Wolfdale Core.

I have a gateway MSII have a gateway MSI Ms-7399 mother board. I have an E6300 pentium dual core processor at 2.8 with a FSB at 1066,in it and it works fine. I want to know what the specs on the board are...

The board is maxed out at 1066 and it does not appear that gateway has a BIOS update to allow for the higher FSB reuired with the faster Intel chips. If you installed one of these newer LGA 775 chips into your computer it may work but would be a lot slower than what it is rated due to the chips multiplier would be set for 1333. I could not see any BIOS updates from gateway for this board. Also these chips are designed to run with the faster memory and the 800mhz memory speed would also be a bottle neck for your system.

I am tryin to upgrade my processor on my 4000783 gateway motherboard need to change my fsb speed and dont know how

You cannot change your fsb. You need to upgrade to a cpu with a fsb speed that your board can support. Once you install the new cpu your bios will set the fsb to the higher setting of your new cpu if your board supports it. If you have your board specs it will tell you something like supports fsb 1066/800. That would mean you could upgrade to a supported 1066 fsb cpu. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

1333 FSB processor ( E6850 ) on a 1066 FSB motherboard, DDR2 667 memory

Hi proenza. you're making good sence! You're D945GCL MB should be able to run 1066 FSB. Not 100% sure you're memory will keep FSB up to 1066.
Here's the trouble though. The Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 will not run on the Intel D945GCL motherboard because it is not supported. Look here at Intel's web site. Supported CPU's.
http://processormatch.intel.com/CompDB/SearchResult.aspx?Boardname=d945gcl

Intel E6850 specs sheet. http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Intel-Intel-Core-2-Duo-E6850-Processor-3-0GHz-4MB-Cache-1333MHz-FSB-Conroe-Dual-Core-OEM-Socket-77

Intel E6700 spec sheet. http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Intel-Core-2-Duo-E6700-2-67Ghz

This CPU is supported by the D945GCL MB.

Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 Processor BX80557E4700 - 2.60GHz.

In order to get 1066MHz (CPU can run at), you'll also need the memory support at 800MHz. The D945GCL MB can only run DDR2-667MHz.
Many people buy a CPU to run MB's specs (1333MHz) just to find the same MB does not support DDR2-1066MHz or DDR2-800MHz. Motherboard Mfg's are lagging. DDR3-1333MHz is out there now to support the 1333 MHz CPU FSB.

I hope this has helped you make a decision proenza.

Good Luck!

Mike

Wont post with 1333 fsb

This board wont take a 1333 cpu. The fastest it will run is 1066

This motherboard supports the latest Intel® Pentium / Celeron CPU in LGA775 package with 1066/ 800/ 533MHz FSB, Hyper-Threading Technology and core-speeds up to 3.8GHz and beyond.
Make sure your RAM is DDR2 800mhz
The Pentium D830 runs at 800fsb which is in line with the board capabilities.
