I have the watch only 3 weeks and it appears the battery for the voice feature is not working

Ive just got a used GW5610 square with this feature for £50, I live in the U.K. where the signal is strong. The technology is great.

Some of these talking watches have 2 batteries, one for the voice and one for the hands, the one for hands is underneath the talking part. A lot of people don't know this and,just change the top battery. All watch batteries are the same voltage but the better brands tend to last longer, a good Swiss battery is the way to go. Go to "citizen.com" and on the upper right there is a menu. Click on "technical
support" and then on "recharge guides"

You will see instructions on recharging watches - some patience appears to be required!

Your watch is fitted with EOL feature and let you know about insufficient battery power by moving seconds hand by 2-5-second increments. You have about two weeks time to change the battery from the EOL engagement or your watch will start to malfunction or even stop. In this case you will have to reset your watch after battery replacement. EOL = End Of Life (relates to battery only). Jumping seconds hand means it's time to change battery.

If your model is not an automatic movement then it means your battery is too low in remaining power to support the watch.

The really nice thing about your watch is that when you need a battery, the watch gives you a 30 day notice by having the second hand do what I call " a triple step" where the watch keeps time, but youe second hand goes 3-4 steps real fast and then stops. Please take your watch to a reputable watch repairman, because your watch has a Cartier movement , and NOBODY but Cartier has the parts for your watch if somebody who dosn.t know what they are doing messes it up. They ususally say leave it alone for about 3-4 minutes and it goes back to time keeping mode. Or - you have "turned it off" a feature to conserve the battery while it sits in you drawer.
