I have a Westell Wirespeed Versalink model B90-327W15-06. It works fine regarding the computers connected via the copper links. It also works okay with my notebook via the wireless port. I am having issues connecting my new notebook via wireless, but that is another problem.
I would like to access my desktop, or a desktop at home when I'm at work. However, I am not sure what I need to do to the Westell to allow a connection from the "public" network into my home network? What do I have to do?
Thanks!
Garbow,
You need to setup a feature called "Port Forwarding." Do you know what program you will use to access your desktop remotely? I recommend windows windows remote desktop or VNC programs.
The link below is a complete walkthrough on how to enable port forwarding for windows remote desktop from a westell 327.

There is an alternative option called a DMZ which you could use. Let me know if you need further assistance.
