I saw them in the latest Metabo leaflet. They are serious producer and they shoudl keep spare parts for few years after they discontinue some product. Try to call to Metabo in your country. Juraj

New battery needed for 18V cordless hammer Dril D6991

Go to home depot and see if the Ryobi, DeWalt Black and Decker or or other company batteries fit,. Otherwise I think that is a Chinese tool sold mostly in Europe or by mail order.

Metabo sbz 18v impuls drill has been sitting idol for years with a burnt out motor, have finally got round to fitting a new one. was working ok until I put the li-ion batteries in the charger. The charger...

If it is that old, the batteries are probably nimh (nickel metal hydride), not lithium, but either way, they will not be any good after sitting that long unused. Nimh have to be charged every couple of weeks due to self discharge, and lithium need to be charged every couple of months, but once a month is better. This is true if you use the drill or not, you have to take care of the batteries. They will have to be rebuilt or replaced. Oh, also make sure you are using the correct charger because if you use the wrong one, the batteries could catch fire and damage your home/garage/shop. Never leave a charger in use unattended. (Do not try to charge batteries and go to bed, very dangerous!) Good luck

I have a B&D pivot plus dril-drive. How do I open it to get the batteries out to recharge them?

you don't, you plug the charger into the drill!
Plug the output cord of the charger into the socket in the bottom half of the screwdriver handle.

I have a metabo battery charger c45 & it allways flashes red even when I put a battery in it! Can u help?

If it is flashing red without a battery installed, there is problem on the circuit board. It will best to replace the charger as repair componants are not available.

If it is only flashing when a battery is installed, it may be a bad battery.

Drill and grinder only work upside down

The only time I have encountered this problem is when the field coil is loose in the motor housing, or one or more of the leads has come loose. By tipping the unit back the coil slides to the rear and makes contact. Then contact breaks when the tool in tipped forward.

When you push the trigger turning on the drill it pulsates.

The tool has an 'impuls' function that is very handy for starting bits into hard metal with out walking, or driving or removing screws with damaged heads. The pulse allows the drill bit to penetrate the metal and the screw driver bit to find its' best seat in the screw head.

There is a switch on the rear of the tool. Flip the switch one way to turn on the impuls feature, the other way to turn it off!
