To restore gas to the burners, follow the instructions below.
1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.
2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.
3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).
4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.
If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's
Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or
hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it,
turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.
Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling.
It's not really hard to do. There only a few parts to it, as opposed to a gas grill. But, grilling and smoking on a charcoal grill can be a little tricky. Especially with controlling and maintaining just the right temperature. But, have the fun is learning how to use, accepting you mistakes and laughing at them.
I sense that you have either lost or misplaced your Owner's Assembly and Use Instruction Manual .
The link below will take you to the manual. You can download and print it for future reference.
When you attached the side burner assembly to the grill frame, did you pull it forward before tightening the 4 bolts that hold it in place? If not this could account for part of the problem. The other would be how you routed the gas line hose from the 'Y' connector, to the side burner connection. If routed differently than what the assembly instructions indicate, you would come up short on the length.
In any event, your model grill has been discontinued by Brinkmann, but the warranty and some parts are still supported by the manufacturer. I'm assuming you just purchased this grill and are in the process of assembling it according to the Owners Manual. So, if you continue to have a problem contact Brinkmann's Customer Support Hotline 800-527-0717.
I don't see a 810-8535-sb manual online. However, you can get the manuals for other Brinkmann Pro-series grills from their website: http://www.brinkmann.net/my_grill.aspx . The 4 burner 810-8533-S seems like the closest match. The direct link for this manual is: http://images.brinkmann.net/docs/pdf/810-8533-S.pdf . If you wait a while, the manual for the 810-3535-sb may become available through the My Grill site.
It might be best to just contact Brinkmann's Customer Service Department first. They should be able to either send you a Manual with snail mail OR point you to a link where you can download a copy of the instructions needed. Good Luck!
