I Have a sony ericsson w995 phonerecently when i was using my phone suddenly i became offthen when i switch on mobile phone it's start like normally i mean i can show the opening logo of sony ericssonbut after that it becomes hang & don't workafter 10 minutes it restarts automatically.i tried several times but all times this is happening..plz give me a solution plz.as soon as possible.
Tray to remove your memory card first,mmc error can be like that.if you still got a problem tray to reprograming your phone,its mean software problem.
I got the same problem, but I can't reprogram the phone / reinstall the software in S-E PC suit.

I had the same problem with a k800i, i emailed sony ericsson and they told me what to try and it worked however you do lose everything you had stored on your phone. I believe this will work with most if not all sony ericsson phones. You need to update your phone, here's what to do;
1.Go to www.sonyericsson.com/support
2.Select UK
3.Select your model of handset
4.Click on Sony Ericsson Update Service
5.Click the link, and then click Run or Save.
6.Let the Sony Ericsson Update Service install.
Once
you have installed the Sony Ericsson Update Service you will need to
launch it. Once it opens simply follow the instructions that you will
see on screen. The update should then begin.

It could be the problem with software installed in mobile(FLASH). To resolve it you need to update the firmware with the help of Online Update Service from Sony Ericsson.
Make sure to backup the date on your mobile like contacts, messages etc..before updating it.
If it not works you need to contact Mobile repair shop to FLASH it again. It means they will refresh the software in mobile.

hi ive had exactly the same problem as you and when i took my phone back to 02 they said it was water damaged, i have since sent it off for a repair with another private company and they have said they are 95% sure its a software fault due to the way my screen was turning black and then saying insert sim, but i shall let you know when i get it back if it has fixed it or it could be something like the sim card reader but please dont be fobbed off saying its water damage they shall just drop a bit off water on the water tab and say its beyond economical repair
