I had to figure this out not long ago.
First you need to pry up the piece of plastic trim that covers the speakers at the top of the keyboard.
Next romove the screws that hold in the keyboard. they will all be along the top of the keyboard.
Once that is out of the way. Remove the screws that secure the metal sheild plate and remove the plate.
You can now see the two fans. If you follow the air ducting from the fans there will be some peices of a tape like material that once pulled back will give you access to the airway to the cooling fins. This is were you will use compressed air to blow out dust build up.
It is also a good idea to clean the fan blades.
Once this done, replace the tape covers and reassemble.
I hope this helps because I couldnt find any info on this on the web.

Loud fan belt type noise from laptop

There are no belts in a computer, sounds like something is rubbing in your computer cooling fan blades, get a can of Duster ( to clean dust from things) and spray the compressed air into all the vent holes to clean out any dust and debris.

I want to upgrade my ram what type of ram should i use and how what is the maximum amount of ram i can upgrade to?

Hi,
Memory Upgrade for Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop, the Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop takes the PC2100 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB (removable) of Memory. You can upgrade your Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Laptop to up to a maximum of 1.0 GB Memory, the system has 2 sockets to install Memory, already with 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB (removable) standard Memory installed. For best Laptop performance use the maximum amount of allowed Memory per slot for your Laptop.

Slow loading up ,could it be my processor

It most likely is not your processor as processors tend to either function or fail. Most everthing you install seems to feel a need to install start-up programs on your computer. This causes for a slow start-up. Try a cleaner (NOT one of those flashy pop-ups that claim to fix your computer). CCleaner is a pretty good one. Clean yor registry. Also, different OS's have tools to optimize your startup as well. Check your tools.

Fan sound ramps up as I am using my pcg-k35 notebook.

This sound is normal if you are using a graphics or cpu intensive program. Your system uses a variable speed fan that is controlled by the motherboard so it will speed up & slow down as required. Hope this helps.

My sony pcg-k35 laptop needs a new keyboard. Where can I get a new keyboard?

ebay's the cheapest place to get one, usually.

K35 keyboards on eBay

They're all pretty pricey right now so I would suggest checking every few days until one is up for AUCTION, not Buy-it-now.

Best of luck!
