Hello. 1st post.
Had the KP-46WT510 since 2003. No problems until now. The red has shifted and can't be corrected with the manual convergance via the remote. When trying to do so, you can move the red crosses up or down, but not left or right. The amount of separation by the red varies across the screen and is worse at the edges while nearly correct at the centerline.
I have the service manual, but I would like to find a troubleshooting manual if anybody knows of one.
I've read some other posts and this points to the convergance ICs or perhaps some of the fusible resistors. Any ideas would be appreciated. There is no bowing or bending of the image in any color. It simply looks like the red has shifted to the right about an inch or so at the edges.
I'm an electrical engineer so I can get and replace some parts, but my TV experience is pretty limited which is why a troubleshooting guide would be nice. I can post images of the screen if anybody thinks that would help in a diagnosis.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
first replace the 2 convergence chips they are the big ones with heat sink atached, they start with stk letters and like six numbers, change'em with same ones you can buy'em at www.pacificsemi.com for cheap and original parts, friendly people,ok and that should fix problem, you won't need service manual,or you can get that too at www.asm-service-manual.com for cheap too,ok,let me know how was evething, your friend, faradio.

There are 3.15A 90V fuses on each output of the STK IC's.
Sony lists them as 1-533-595-31 and I've seen the brand name pico-fuse thrown around which is Littelfuse.
I can get the part number off the fuse when I open it all up, but I prefer to have everything here before I do that. Digi-key carries most littelfuse parts, but nobody seems to want to tell what actual manufacturer part number of the 1-533-595-31 is as they want you to buy it from them for about 4x the price.
Thanks,
