Hi shaun, the problem you are experiencing with your B&O is as a result of the fact that the output transistor is shortened, and it needs to be fixed, however this can be fixed by an electronics technician close to you.its a minor problem that oughts not to cost you much based on the discretion of the technician.
Thanks and take care
Hello, when an answering machine goes to standby mode with a little crack, it means that the system has jammed and has caused it to loss memory.
you can reset the memory on the digital answering machine. Doing so is
will remove all of the stored messages and your personal message.
Follow this instruction:
Turn the machine upside down and disconnect the adapter.
Open the battery chamber by lifting up and pulling out on the plastic tab over the battery.
Remove the battery and leave it out for a few moments.
Place the battery back into the device and close the chamber. Reattach
the adapter to the back of the answering machine. The memory is now
cleared and reset.
Record your new answering message.
You can start using it again.
Have a nice day.
Hello, yes you are to look at the dry joint connectors, that is where the fault came from.i would suggest you visit an authorized repairer to help you give a proper check on the dry joint if you arenot electronically inclined so as not to compound the problem.
Thanks for using fixya,
Take care.

I have an MX7000 and it goes into standby intermittently. I gathered this would be a dry problem. Would you be able to confirm areas on the main pcb to check and resolder etc?
Thanks
Shaun
