Try selecting the main item and not the occurence then choose to delete it.

This could work if you go to the very first day and time it was scheduled.

Turn off alarm for calendar?

As far is I can tell there is not a global setting for turning off the alarm on the calender. Whenever you create a "Schedule" event on your calender the default seems to be for a "Reminder" alarm to go off "On Time"; that is to say the alarm will go off at the exact of your scheduled event. However, when you first create a "schedule" event you can scroll down to "Reminder" and choose from "On Time", "10 Minutes before", "30 Minutes before", "1 Hour before" or you can choose the one you would want which is "No Alarm". You can also find options on that screen for controlling what kind of alarm you want including the choice of having a "Vibrate only" alert to you scheduled event. You can always go back and "Edit" any events that are already scheduled and deselect the alarm for those events.

If you don't want to mess with the different alarms and alarm settings you might consider creating from the "Create Event" menu either a "Task" or a "Note" for a particular date on the calender. There are no default alarms associated with either of those. Create "Note is very easy to use. Just select a date and you can enter the time and other appointment information in the "Note" area of the "Create Note" screen.

I hope this is a helpful solution for someone.

My htc touch reminders won't sound. The general alarm works but not the reminder alarms in the calendar, texts, e-mail, missed calls etc all sound, just not the calendar reminders

From what I have already experienced so far, some WM6 builds seem to be prone to have their notifications queue messed up.
Google for 'checknotifications_arm.cab', intall it on your device, and tap on 'Options > Settings...', tick both checkboxes there. Tap ok,' and 'Clear', at the top of the application's screen. Your notifications queue will be free of garbage, now.
Then, go to your Calendar application, choose a day which has the next events with notifications (reminders), Edit each one of them twice: one to delete the Reminder settings, and another one to reset them (you'll notice that at the 2nd edititing action for each event, the Reminder settings will be shown as they were, prior to their deletion - less work to be done!). This will set Calendar entries in the notifications queue.
Your reminders should work from now on.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Cheers! Carlos

Event/Schedule Snooze

i really don't think you can snooze a calendar item,it is designed to remind you only of your event and current schedule. unlike alarm which you can snooze every 5 minutes..it can only be repeated everyday up to every year...

When I travel and change my time zone all my appts change as well in my calendar. For ex: when I travel from LA to NY and move ahead 3 hrs--all my appts move ahead 3 hrs too which makes them all ...

I think the best solution will be to switch off the Date & Time Source.

Press Menu > Options > Date/Time > Date/Time Source = BlackBerry change this to Off.

We hope this helps!

Notification alert for calendar items on Samsung i780

Hi there!
Try to click the bell icon when you set your alarm and see if you have checked the box for "play sound".
Also, verify if your volume is up and not in "Off" mode.
Also, go to Settings, click Sounds and Notifications. Verify if you were able to check the "Enable sounds for programs" box and make sure the notifications box is checked.
And on the notifications tab select "Reminders" from the drop down menu for "Event" and ensure that "Play sound" and "repeat" are checked.
Hope this will solve your problem!

Mobile

Hi, I don't think it has the function to set for individual days but as an alternative you could try going in to the calendar and setting up a date/time and setting up a reminder alert. You can change the alert to custom time of your own. i.e 1 minute prior. not ideal as more fiddley way AND you would think such a phone would have function to set alarm for other days. anyway hope this helps.
