No lights. The heater is on the same circuit and relay as the main filter pump. When the relay is turned on, the heater doesn't come on anymore. Is there a fuse or something inside the heater I could look for?

No there is no fuse. There is a 24vac transformer. You will need a meter to determine if you have voltage. The transformer is at the bottom of the electrical raceway, follow the two wires up to the control bezel and test for voltage there.

I have a 94es300 i crank it it starts up runs 5 mins shuts off like not getting enough gas changed fuel pump, fuel filter , fuel pressure regulator and ignitor still same whats up with this car

If you changed the fuel pump and the fuel filter and ignitor and regulator,in the list of changes do you know you have a EFI. The EFI main relay turn on the fuel pump which includes the circuit opening relay. Testing it mainly passes with flying colors just replace

Toyo stove laser 73 throws a EE 2 code and back fan will not come on.

EE 2 can be caused by a couple of things but is usually a fuel issue or a flame rod problem. The circulation fan will not come on until the burner has warmed up. The combustion blower should start almost as soon as you turn the heater on. Turn the heater on and listen for the combustion blower. If it doesn\'t start, do you get an error code? If the blower started wait for the fuel pump to come on. It will start when the burner lights come on. If the fuel pump makes a loud ticking or thumping sound, it isn\'t getting any fuel. Check the fuel filter and the strainer in the fuel sump. Make sure the valve is turned off at the barrel before removing the fuel strainer. If the fuel pump is working normally, does the heater light up. If it doesn\'t, check the igniter. You can check that first if you want and have a clamp on ammeter. Place it around one of the igniter leads and you should read 2 to 4 amps when you turn the heater on. If the heater does light but then cuts off after about a minute, clean the flame rod. Unplug the heater before removing the flame rod because it may kill the circuit board if the heater is plugged in and the flame rod touches ground. Let me know what you find.

Install a timer to control pool operation

Another option would be to get an electronic timer like the Intermatic P1353 that has 3 circuits on it that you could program to cut on and off at different times. For example, you could have one circuit that controls the pump and turns the pump on, then the second circuit would turn on the booster pump at a set time after the filter pump had come on and then the heater could be set to also run at a preset time after the pump circuit was activated. Since the pump, booster and heater are all 220, it's a straight forward hookup with everything in one timer box.

The lights, as stated before, would be on a separate circuit (110) and have its own timer or photosensitive eye set in line.

Underhood fuse block swap out relay #7 thats the ECM relay.
Ground Circuits Using a DVOM, touch negative voltmeter lead to a good ground. Touch positive voltmeter lead to each ground terminal. With vehicle running, voltmeter should indicate less than one volt. If reading is greater than one volt, check for open, corrosion and loose connection on ground lead. See ECM GROUND LOCATION table for ECM ground location.

I have an older Catalina spa with acura controls. The tub will no longer heat up. The pump cycles but the heater and light does not come on

These older style controls are easily repaired but require some electrical diagnosis expertise to determine the problem.
1. Check the pressure switch to make sure it is working properly - Use a continuity checker to see if the pressure switch is closed when pump is running. If not then check for proper water flow. Dirty filter, obstruction in plumbing. If flow is good, replace the pressure switch and see if heater works.
2. Check to see if the heater has 220V at the heater terminals when heater circuit is running. If not, then check to see if the heater contactor (relay) is actuating. Check Hi-limit switch, Thermostat and pressure switch for continuity. If heater has voltage, check for current draw, using a clamp style amp meter around on of the heater wires. look for about 20 amps. If voltage is present but no current draw, the heater is bad.
3. The spa light is a completely separate circuit, check the air switch, air line, button and light bulb. Its a 12V AC circuit.

My pentair controller will not shut the filter pump off

Chances are that you have a bad relay, but the problem could be the main logic board. If there is a spare relay in the box switch all the wires from the pump relay onto the spare. Remember to shut off the breaker, and also you will need to change the wires on the top of the relay too, or you will have to do some reprogramming.

Can't shut down the main pump on my Jandy Auqualink system. The controls inside my house show off but the pump continues to run. The control box outside will not shut down the pump either. Going to Service...

The relay is probably bad. If you open up the main outdoor panel, you can watch the bottom of the relay for the pump, ususally on the upper left of the relay cluster (black). Watch for a small tab popping out when turning on/off. If you don't see it, the relay is bad. This assumes you hear a click when doing this.
