It's easy to replace but I don't know how easy is to find a fan like that. Search first of all to find one and then remove it. Why don't you try a good cleaning with a soft brush and a vacuum cleaner or air under presure. In the last case let the motherboard to dry after the air.

Stelios.

I have a k9n4 sli motherboard with 4 places to put 2 gb strips of memory. i have 2 of them installed and working but cant get the other 2 to work what am i doing wrong?

A number of things could be happening.

Correct memory type?

The mainboard provides four 240-pin 1.8 volt non-ECC DDRII DIMMs.

DDRII modules are not interchangeable with DDR and the DDRII standard is not backwards compatible. You should always install DDRII memory modules in the DDRII DIMMs and DDR memory modules in the DDR DIMMs.
- In dual-channel mode, make sure that you install memory modules of the same type and density in different channel DDR DIMMs.

No beep,No Display on my monitor, only CPU heatsink fan is moving

You motherboard has onboard video. It's possible it needs to be disabled and the option changed to use the pci or pci-express slot for the Ati card you installed. Since you have no post error beeps this is the best place to start. Also I had built a system not to long ago and had a similar problem. Resetting the cmos on the motherboard (usually a pin combo) solved the issue.

Start by hooking up your vga cable to the onboard video.

Hope this helps.

The video card is not compatable. Also check your ram first to make sure it is plugged in all the way, and the rest of your hardware.

MSI K9N4 SLI-F / Vid Card question

Hi, for the best graphics always go for dual graphic cards. This is the best way to obtain realistic 3D effects. The onboard audio chips is every bit as good as stated, MSI systems are equal to the best but at a lower price. The only change I can see that you need to make is to install a better power supply. A minimum 500w is needed with your system and if your budget allows then anthing up to 600w. Have fun with your games. Regards mistyman

MSI K9N4 display garbled

Hi, have a real close examination of the capacitors on the board. [round things that stand up in groups] if any of these are buldged out on top or bottom discard the board. If they are ok just fit another CPU and you should be ok, MSI make a reliable and very stable board. I have used them for several years without any problems. Regards mistyman
