I cannot unistall driver for Live! Cam Voice. I did the mistake of installing the webcam driver with the webcam connected and the installation didn't go through properly. The computer never detected the webcam. Shortly afterwards I got some driver conflicts. The computer is very slow to start up and I even get the blues screen if I try to connect the webcam. I've tried uninstalling all the software installed from the original disk (add remove programs and device manager). I have also used CC cleaner to try to clean up the computer (registry). The problem still persists. I'm running Windows XP. Any bright ideas?
Best,
Kari
Please go the Disk clean up and clean all necessary things and start a disk defragmentation. Then shutdown and restart the computer and reinstall if it doesn't work i will give you another solution
Start it in safe mode turn off your firewall and turn off your antivirus go to add and remove programs remove all web cam or creative drivers that you see then close out add and remove drivers and go to device drivers click on start my computer right click on my computer go to properties and click on properties go to hardware and remove any web cam devices in the list of hardware then close out the window. next go to start type in the run box msconfig go to start up files and go down the list and if you see any drivers or load up devices that has to do with creative drivers unchecked them also check ini flies and uncheck them then click apply and OK and reboot. next go back into safe mode it will ask you if you want to reboot say no next do disk clean up then disk defrag next click restart and go to the regular screen it will say your in diagnostic start up do you want to continue or reboot continue. next be sure camera is not hooked up and check your hardware device to see if you see a web camera if you do remove it by clicking on it and remove driver, now close out the window and now install the CD for the camera install the software with the virus software and firewall off after installing the software and it reboots go to where it says you are in diagnostic mode and click on it and click on apply all then OK and allow it to boot, next hook your camera into the computer and let me know if that works if not I will try to think of an easier way. Thanks for using fix-ya.

Dear avid101,
Thanks for your advise. I followed your recommendation cleaning and defragmenting the disk etc. Unfortunately the problem still exists. Here are a few things that may help you to identify the problem:
-Computer takes about 2-3 minutes to start (it's a new DELL Optiplex 760 with Windows XP sp3). It took less than a minute before.
-If I connect the camera I get the blue screen.
-If I try to install the setup disk (that came with the camera) then it tells me I already have a driver version 1.02.08.0710 installed. If I go ahead with the install it tells me it is unsuccessful.
-Device Manager: There is no webcam under "Sound, video and game controllers")
-Add/Remove programs: I don't see any program from Creative Labs
-System Configuration Utility: The only thing I see is under Startup: StartFX C:\Program Files\Creative\Creative Live! Cam\VideoFX\StartFX.exe (I have disabled this)
-Files: I still have 49 files under C:\Program Files\Creative (so the remove programs was definitely not successful)
Any other ideas?
Best,
Kari
