The flash won't work on my Sony DSC-W80, no matter if the flash is on.

This is how the pros who use several Nikons, for example, do this. They create a folder on the desktop for each camera (i.e. camera 1, camera 2, etc.) Then, using a card reader, they drag and drop the pics from a camera into the appropriate folder.

there is problem with flash unit.you have to replaced flash unit.if you know that how replaced then buy from your near service center and replaced by opening your camera.if do not know then best to replaced by sony service center.

you have a bad power switch, you will need to take the camera apart and clean the inside of the switch with alcohol

1.turn the unit on
2.press the menu button
3. select setup
4. inside setup and search for setup 1 (option with a toolbox icon with a number at the bottom.)
5. inside setup1, pls select initialize and reply with OK to evety prompt(using the center button)
6.if succesfull(you'll get clock settings)
7.set the date and time then try the camera again.

The camera is probably is "Burst" mode where you hit the picture button and it contineously takes the picture. Hit menu and look to see if you have it set to burst mode if so take it off and it will work..I just found the answer on here :)
