Go to Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon.
Then the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse buttons.
In the Left column is the button settings. The bottom one is the Right
Button, which is set for Magnify. Whenever you hit the Right
Side button the magnifier will turn on. To turn it off, hit the Right
Side Button and off it goes. You can change any of the button
settings by clicking on the drop down.
Hope this helps. Bud
If you installed the software that came with your mouse, there will be a shortcut on your desktop to the microsoft wireless laser mouse configuration. Double click on this shortcut. In the window that opens, at the very bottom, there are options for both the left and right side buttons. In the drop down window, select "Disable" for both. Click on "Apply" Click on "Okay" or "Close"
1. Click Start, then select Control Panel
2. Double click on Mouse icon
3. In Mouse Properties locate the box that says "Right Side Button"
4. If this box says "Magnify (Default), Click on the drop down arrow and go down list and select disabled, the Click Apply and then OK. This should take the magnify feature off.
5. To reactivate the "Magnify" feature, go back to Mouse Properties, go down the list to "Right Side Button" . Click on the down list and go down the list and select "Magnify (Default). Click on Apply button, then Click on OK. This should reactivate the Magnify feature.

The button on the left side of the mouse when pressed turns the Magnifier on/off. Just press it again and it should turn off. I kept turning it on accidentally so I went in the control panel and switched the Magnifier to the right side. I added that below so you can set your mouse buttons.

First of all make sure to update to the latest driver. The problem is, the side buttons are very easy to push without meaning to do so. Right click the mouse icon in your system tray and select "Mouse Properties" select the BUTTONS tab, then disable both the left and right side mouse buttons. Click on APPLY and then OK
All the buttons are programable and easily accessed through the mouse icon in the startup menue. Click Statup, Click the mouse program icon, a window appears with each of the mouse buttons listed with drop down menues. Click the drop down menue of the button of interest, select one of about 20 choices (in my case "disabled"), click Apply, click Save.
Try going to Control Panel and click on the mouse icon. Then the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse. In the left column, move your cursor over the right side button click on the drop down and select magnify. Hopefully it will now work.
I had to move the magnify function to the left button because it was to sensitive on the right.

The bottom one is the Right Button which is set for Magnify. When ever you hit the Rignt Side button the magnifier will turn on. To turn it off, hit the Right Side Button and off it goes.
