New oven thermostat acting nuts

I just replaced the thermostat oven control on a GE JBS07m1bb Range. I set the oven to 300 deg. and when it reaches that the oven light on the control board goes out. then while at 300 deg. if I turn it up the light goes on and you can hear a click, but if I turn it down it goes out until I get down to around 200 deg. when the lights goes on again (no click). It will stay on until about 125 deg. then go out. In the lower temp I do not hear a click and the element seems to be cooling even with the light on. The oven seems to be working good but I don't understand the light going on at a lower temp then the oven is at.

Why is a Kenmore elec range model 665.92004102 have oven temp lower by 100 deg at settings of 400, 450, 475 and 495; while off 150 at 350 deg setting?

There is a problem with the oven probe sensor or EOC. To ensure this problem is fixed both parts would need to be replaced. This could cost more then $300 to have repaired.

F3 and F2 Errror messages on my GE convection oven

F2 & F3 are fault codes relating to the oven temperature sensor

F2 during bake means a temperature of over 630 deg has been reached
F3 means shorted oven temperature sensor

What it means is you will most likely need to have the oven temperature sensor (thermostat) replaced .

Oven fails to reach correct operating temperature. Set at 400 = actual 300 temp. Temp probe is clean.

Clean and working correctly are 2 different things.
Unplug the range. Remove the temp sensor. Use a meter set for ohms and read 1050 to 1150 ohms at room temperature.
If it reads OK replace the electronic control. If it reads bad replace the temp sensor.

Oven temp will not exceed 350 deg, also the timer does not work

Check the oven temp sensor with OHM meter. It should read 1100 ohms.
If not, replace it.
Otherwise the electronic control is bad.
