**Drag and Drop** Connect your MP3 player to the computer. Some MP3 players connect directly to a USB port, while others connect to a USB port by way of a specific USB connector that comes with the MP3 player. try this and see if you get better results but if all your missing is a lousy 11 megs why worry thats just about 3 song if your lucky im sittin on 15 megs on my 2 gig and it doesnt bother me 1 bit

go to sony website and then proceed to downloads . you need to download the firmware and then its sorted
Bad news - if you tried multiple pc's and it still failed, then your player is done.
Make sure you: reset the player upgraded the firmware used the recovery tool called Sony to be sure last ditch effort: Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware. Wizard.
