VX9900 Random Restarts and Blue Screen of Death

I've had my VX9900 for over six months. About three weeks ago, it started to randomly restart itself. It's done it in the middle of phone calls, in the middle of texting, just whenever. At the same time, it started going into a mode where both the front and inside screens would go blue with the VX9900 header with a box with an arrow going into it below. When it does this it freezes up and I have to pull the battery out.

I've heard that a couple games have caused this problem, but I had not gotten anything put on the phone for weeks before this happened. Any ideas?

I have had my eNV for 3months and i loved it until about a week ago. It has begun to randomly shut off. I woudl have it in my hip-holster and take it outto check the time or to make a call and it is off. Just today for the first time it shut off and then I turned it back on. It immediately shut off. I am not sure why and dont want to take it to Verizon to have it replaced because I have pictures stored on it that I dont want to loose. In addition, I have downloaded songs as ringtones I dont want to pay for again. Please help.

My VX9900 has the same blue screen, on both displays, with the arrow pointing into a box with the lines. It has been like his for about 32 hours.

My son has the VX9900. We purchased it used from a Verizon dealer. Two days after our purchase the phone started to make a funny vibrating noise and then everything froze. It lasted for about 5 minutes, then it powered itself back up. We took it back to the dealer and she said this was caused by overcharging the battery. She did something to the phone and said it should not happen again as long as we charge the battery for no more than 3 hours a day.( This happened while he was playing a game on the phone. ) Does this sound right ?

I have now exchanged my enV 3x and have the same problem. I randomly get restarts during calls/texts/whenever except it is NOT A RESTART !

I see the VCAST Splash screen and the phone goes back to the main menu but it does NOT play the sound and it does so MUCH quicker than if i was to turn the phone on manually.

As of today, my front buttons stopped working temporarily (but started wroking again after about 5 min) and now I have the same blue logo ALL THE TIME. It does not matter if the battery is in the phone or not (it will not power up at all unless it is plugged in to the wall charger) and shows the blue icon regardless.

    HELP!

I've had my enV2 since September, 2008 and about a month ago it started restarting itself for no reason. I primarily use my phone for Mobile IM (AIM) and am up to date on my roaming capabilities (*228 every 3 months, option 2) but over the course of the past week and a half, the restarts have been getting more and more frequent. It's indiscriminatory as to when it happens--while in a call, while in my pocket, with Mobile IM on or off, and it's a huge inconvenience. As of today, the phone refuses to connect up to Mobile IM at all, will lock up, and start a power on/power off cycle until I pull the battery out.

When Verizon KNOWS phones are due for a software updated, they should send out a free text message to those it applies to, and when you do go in to get it updated, WARN you to back up your photos/videos/ringtones/sounds/music rather than wipe it clean and say "Too Bad" when $40 worth of music and ringtones disappear.

MY enV 2 has done the same thing... it was purchased on christmas eve and has restarted itself twice since then. It does the screen as if it would if I were turning it off and then it makes me put in my unlock code... but the screen never goes black and i'm still signed onto aim with all of my conversations open when I go into mobile IM. At this point it isn't a constant thing but I have insurance on my phone so if it becomes an issue I will surely go to verizon. Anyone know what it actually is? It cant be that I need a software update... I've had the phone only a week!

I just plugged my LG enV into its charger because it was dead. A blue screen appeared reading VX9900 with an arrow pointing into a box. I pulled the battery out and tried turning it off and nothing works it doesn't even go black.

I've been having the same problems as everyone else with my Orange EnV. I bought mine back in May, and thought it would be the coolest phone in the world to have, since I text ALOT to everyone I know. I think after about 4 weeks, I started notcing that not only was my phone freezing up during texting, but was also randomly restarting.. The whole restarting issue is up to about 5-8 times a day. I've gone through 4 EnV's now, so hopefully this time they will give me something that ACTUALLY WORKS.

Also.. I use my Instant Messenger on my phone, and wanted to know if anyone else uses it if they have problems getting IM's back from people.. Apparently I can send IMs out okay to people, but I don't get anything in return.

Thanks!

Hello,
I had to get 3 different enVs from Verizon because they all randomly restarted. Then, they gave me the enV2 because I told them I wanted something comparable. Well, I've had the enV2 for about 4 days now. SURPRISE! Its restarting on its own!
I dont know what to do. I'm really getting tired of using different phones. I was told its a software glitch and then i was told its not.
DO THEY KNOW WHATS GOING ON?!

I was told by Verizon that this is caused by outdated software. If you have the software upgraded it should fix the problem.

The laptop keeps restarting itself. Then when it reaches the log on screen the screen goes blue and says it has detected a problem. Hen Restarts again.

Click Start and Open the Control Panel 2. Go to System and Maintenance, Click on System. 3. Select Advanced System Settings and choose Advance tab. 4. Under Startup and Recovery, click on Settings. 5. Under System failure uncheck Automatically restart. Another cause for random reboots is that the computers processor is getting too hot. To check this, enter the computers bios during boot (usually by pressing Delete, F1 or F10 when the computer just starts) and there will be an option about the computers temperature (often under "PC Health"). U can have registry error.Run a registry cleaner reg in out .

Hey do you guys know any tech does work voluntary to fix blue screen problem

3 Easy Tactics on How to Fix Blue Screen of Death The famous windows Blue Screen of Death(BSOD Error) can be fixed with 3 types of Blue Screen Death Repair. Try to apply the following tactics when the blue screen death occur before you call a computer expert for help.
1. Uninstall any programs which you had installed recently.
Sometimes, there exists a conflict in drivers installed on your pc that causes the blue screen error to pop up. In most cases, this does not occur, but if it does, Windows offers you a roll back feature where you possibly can bring your PC’s operating system back to its original functioning state.

LG ENV2 shutting off

I just got mine a few weeks ago and it does the same exact thing (I didn't drop it, there is no water damage, I didn't understand the cause of it). I took it back to the Verizon store and I was told that the random shutting off like that is caused by having the phone outside being exposed to heat. He reset my phone back to factory settings and that did the trick for awhile (its hard for me to go to the pool and not have my phone exposed to the heat). There is no charge for them to reset the phone. Mine has started the random shutting off again back up

Dropped Env2, Screen wont show up

Well, its possible that you just need to turn the phone off, and turn it back on. Or maybe when you dropped it, something inside the screen itself broke. The only way to be sure is to take it in and have them look at it. Good luck.

Random restarts..blue screen of death

It sounds like a RAM issue. I'd check for excessive heat inside the case. Possibly a bad case fan or the like.

Have you made any changes lately that could have caused these problems?

Random blue screen of death

The blue screen of death gives you an error code accross the bottom of the screen. Something like Stop: 0x0000........
go to microsofts website and on the search bar at the site type in the code beginning with Stop.....Microsoft has causes and solutions for the codes there.
If you know the code please post it. I may be able to better assist you with the code or error message.

Hope this helps you
