Sounds like a virus. Run your virusscanner, spybot, adaware, in safe mode.

Eax300se problems with XP

First, open your Task manager and open the "performance tab". There are a lot of built in programs in XP that can peg the CPU to full and this will slow/crash your computer. If any program is eating 100% of your CPU power for a long time, use Google to see how to fix the problem.

Test your RAM: Open the Start Menu and type in mdsched.exe, then press enter. - Then follow the procedure you think is best for your machine.

If your machine is capable via the BIOS, check to see at what temperature the CPU is running. Some processors run hot all the time, but some processors can't take the heat and will crash.

Also, if your computer is not under warranty physically check to see that the CPU fan is moving freely... and the GPU fan as well if your computer has one. Clean any dust and what not off of the blades if it is dirty, or replace if necessary.

If none of that seems to be the issue, remember that XP is considered "End of Life" and a lot of programs will not run on XP any more. Also remember that while some programs might still work, they may still be buggy on XP.

Computer won't boot

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

Intermec CK31 the most slow terminal.. is a piece of ****..

We have come across this many many times. After the terminal has fully booted (can take an hour when slow) and if you manage to access the CPU monitor you would be able to see that the CPU is running constantly at 100% - not good.

A complete blank and operating system restore is required.

Toshiba A135-S4467 runs in safe mode but not normal (Vista)

Hi there,
The fact it starts in safe mode (which means it loads the basics for the pc to run and thats it) would indicate to me that there is something running in the backround at normal boot and also your cpu has a panic attack. Just wondering did this pc come with this version of windows or is it one you downloaded and installed yourself?? If its one you downloaded yourself (which it sounds like) get rid of it, because it is probs corrupted. Get another copy of it or to be quite honest I would get windows 7. Its better ,faster, and a lot less **** runs on it...The fact you changed your hard drive and still have the same problem it sounds like the copy of windows you have...Hope this helps...

I Have a Sony CLIE PEG-SJ22 that I want to get internet on!!!

Hey dude. You don't even have a built-in browser in that handheld. What use can it be of even if you can get wifi to work on it? In addition, this thing has a CPU clock speed as fast as a 80486 Intel desktop CPU, even if you can browse the internet, it will take forever to finish loading a page. Oh, do you know that it only has 16MB internal memory for everything? If you want to check email, use outlook or palm desktop to receive them and sync it to your Clie. This is the closest you can get to the internet with this handheld. Goog luck and don't forget to amaze me by posting a real solution up if you can find anything, I mean anything, better than what I just said.
