Does anyone know how to change the camera lens on a vx8300 or know a site i can go to get directions on how to?
Hi is it the outer case of the phone that has the crack or is it actually the lense of camera as often it is the cover over the lense that gets broken as the lense on the camera itself is tiny.
If this is the case and it is just the case that needs replacing you can either take it to phone shop and they will replace for a small fee the only problem with doing it yourself is the screws need to be undone in a certain order and the same putting them back getting this wrong can warp the board and destroy the phone.
The only sites i have found that shows you how to strip phones down only covers nokias.
You could try using ask.com and typing in what you are looking for as sometimes you will come across a site containing the info you need.
If the problem is with the camera itself this will require unsoldering and a new camera soldering back onto the board but you problem is probably just the case.
They are difficult to take off as once you have undone the screws their are clips holding the case onto the board itself and if you damage these you wont be able to get the phone back together again.
Ill have a look now for you and see if their are any sites with instruction on for you and will post back if i find any but try using ask to search for you you might be lucky let me know how you get on ok
hi and happy new year sorry icouldnt offer you more help but they are difficult to do and you wouldnt do it without the correct tools that lg provide for these phones as its not a case of undoing screws their are also clips as well if you damage these you wont put phone back together hope everything works out fine
