Copy all the files from it to your 'C:' drive, and burn the files to one DVD-recordable disk.
Then, responsibly recycle the SanDisk, and spend $10 to buy a new flash-drive.
Copy the files from the 'C:' drive, or the DVD disk onto the new flash-drive.
Keep multiple copies of your files, just in case this "new" flash-drive also "fails".
Click
> Start > RUN > type "CMD" Then Type "CHKDSK" and type o
your Pendrive and "/F". Ex. chkdsk Q: /F > Enter Ok, You see many
msg error. OK! Now, you remove your pendrive and plug again. Try
to format. It works well.
I had this problem while trying to copy all the files in My Documents onto a USB 2gb flash drive. I reformatted the flash drive to fat32 and the problem disappeared. Hope that helps someone else!
run a check disk on the memory stick - most likely a good indicator that the flash drive is on its way out as they normally have a life span of about a year or two.
My Jetflash also writeprotected, there's no any solution for this in internet but I could solve this problem,
what you can do is, make your write protected drive "shared", that means go to my computer---> then rigtclick on flash drive---> click sharing & security---> check both "share this folder on network" & "allow users to change my files" ,apply setting then you'll be able to format your drive.
I could do it,
let others to know about this solution. Because I also suffered from this problem.
