Hello,

If battery is out of the vehicle, connect positive lead to positive terminal and negative lead to negative terminal.

If battery is in the vehicle, the proper way to connect leads depends on if it's a negative-grounded or a positive-grounded vehicle.

Here is a link to the manual for this charger.
Click where it says "Get This manual" (it's free).

Scroll down to pages 4 and 5 and it give detailed instructions on the proper way to connect leads and a lot more. It's a good manual to keep for future use.

I hope this helps.

How do you give a jump start to someone using a 2007 Dodge Charger?

The underhood connections can work by themselves...POS to POS, and NEG to NEG...sometimes dirty/weak connections do not allow the power to transfer fully from the underhood connections...if this is the case then you need to connect directly to the battery in trunk for full power charge...again POS to POS, and NEG to NEG...hope this helps

Schumacher charger parts

Probably not worth repairing. Meaning, the cost to repair will most likely exceed the value of the charger.

The charger doesn't do anything. I've charged the charger then hooked it up to the battery (pos on pos, neg on neg) then tried to start the car. No reaction whatever. Is there something else I

It's possible you may have a poor connection from your car to your car battery. Check to make sure both battery terminals are on your battery tight. Tighten them if necessary, then try again. If either one was loose, that should fix the problem. Then there may be nothing wrong with your battery charger.

My inverter has 2 pos and 2 neg terminals,WHY

For connecting multiple items to it, without knowing where the pos and negs are its hard to say exactly what they are. Is it on the input or output side of the inverter? Do you have a connector to connect to the cig lighter plug or battery terminals??

How do I connect charger to battery I know one terminal has to be connected to a painted/ non painted surface. please advise

Red attaches to the POS or the + termnal. The Black clamp can attach to the NEG or the - terminal on the battery ... or any part of the engine. Assure the charger is in the off position when you connect. Assure it is on the Charge position if you are charging the battery. If you are trying to start the car, put the charger on the START position and let it sit on the battery for 30 seconds before you try to start it. The best way to get your car going is allow the charger to charge the battery on CHARGE setting for an hour or more first.

Incidently, I have a charger exactly like yours ...
