SOURCE: handset

Presume you are talking about the extra handset. Try placing the extra handset in the "main" base for 5 seconds.

SOURCE: My handset reads Low Battery Charge Handset and i

Well.. You may not like my solution.. because I had the same problem with the same phone as you have and everything I did was not successful. WHY you ask??

Because it sounds to me that the rechargable battery itself is either defective, worn out \Or maybe the phone was dropped causing the battery damage, due to the sudden jolt when it hit the floor, as these rechargable batteries are not indistructable??)

I bet if you go toUNIDEN site or the electronic store and replace the rechargable battery, with a BT800/BP800 Battery Pack as what I had to get (but check make/model of the battery pack you already have installed in handset), your phone will continue to operate as if it was new again. I paid about $30- for my battery pack.

SOURCE: mobile l-7 is not charging

Hello,

your problem is known already, since the battery charge in another phone.

All you need to do is just to replace the charging port because from all indication your charging port is bad.

If you are able to replace the charging port, your phone will charge.

Take care.

I have a vetch mod# CS6114 I checked the base unit and it gets power to charge phone but I can't get a dial tone. I even hooked up to another line and still won't work.

This sounds like a registration problem, the
handset must be de-registered from wherever
it thinks it is and then registered to your base.

=====================================
( I ). First, to de-register a cs6114 handset ---

0. Start by taking off the battery compartment cover.

1. press [menu]
2. scroll up/down to "Settings"
3. enter * 7 8 9 0 #
4. scroll from "Test Base" to "Test Handset", press [select]
4. scroll down to "next page", press [select]
5. scroll down to "Register Clear?", press [select]
6. display asks "Confirm?" or "Register Clear??",
press [select]
7. display reads "Ok" and chirps, press [ off ]

8. UNPLUG THE HANDSET BATTERY
(this is why the cover was off)

9. Wait ~30 seconds, re-connect the battery &
replace the cover

10. display reads "Not Registered"
===============================

( III.) To register the cs6114 handset to the base:

1. press [Find Handset] on the base and hold for
~4 sec until the "In Use" lamp lights.
2. press # on the handset and set the handset into
the handset cradle on the base
3. within 30 seconds or so, the handset will either
chirp and display "Handset Registered", then
"Handset #x" or it will say "Registration Failed".

NOTE: the battery must be well charged prior to the
registration process, a weak battery may cause a
"Registration Failed". Charge the battery for a
few hours and try the registration ( III ) again.

NOTE 2: Some cs6114 bases do not have the "In Use"
lamp indicator. To register the handset simply park it
displaying "Not Registered" in the base cradle and wait
for the registration to occur. Pressing # as above may
be required, maybe not.

Good luck !!

My phone displays out of range how to correct

This sounds like a registration problem. Try
de-registering the handset(s) and re-registering
to your base.

NOTE: the CS6429 handles a maximum of 5
handsets. If you have a handset displaying
"Handset #5" then you have a 'fully populated system'
even if you actually have only one or two handsets.

You will need to clear each handset ( I ) then clear
the base of all registrations ( II ) before re-registering
each handset ( III ) up to the maximum of five.
=====================================
( I ). First, to de-register a handset ---

0. Start by taking off the battery compartment cover.

1. press [menu]

( II.) To clear the base of all handset registrations
( if needed, else skip ahead to ( III ). )

1. press [Find Handset] on the base and hold
past ~4 sec when the "In Use" lamp lights, at
about 10 secs the "In Use" lamp will begin to
blink. 2. release the [Find Handset] button momentarily,
then briefly press it again. After a moment,
all handsets that were registered to the base
(if any) will display "Not Registered" and be
ready for fresh registration ===============================

( III.) To register each handset to the base:

1. press [Find Handset] on the base and hold for
~4 sec until the "In Use" lamp lights.
2. press # on the handset and set the handset into
the handset cradle on the base
3. within 30 seconds or so, the handset will either
chirp and display "Handset Registered", then
"Handset #x" or it will say "Registration Failed".

NOTE: the battery must be well charged prior to the
registration process, a weak battery may cause a
"Registration Failed". Charge the battery for a
few hours and try the registration ( III ) again.

Shirley, check if you inserted the chip properly. Usually the bars are your wifi strength. Most likely its the chip.

Display reads sonar timed out

check the battery voltage as low voltage can cause the unit to display errors and prevent the sonar from starting up. This unit is more sensitive to low voltage than many other electronics. If charging the battery or replacing it with a known good battery doesn't work then contact garmin for a replacement of your fishfinder.

My panasonic kx-tga520m cordless handset does not display caller id anymore. the second handset does display this feature. What should I do?

Because your phone was low on battery, you will not see this feature. Once you charge your phone fully, you will start receive phone calls and you will see this feature activating again.

I have a Panasonic KX-TG6051CM

I had the same problem, and it seems that the battery charging circuit in the handset had locked up, constantly charging the battery until it overheated. I was able to reset the circuit in my handset by completely draining the battery. Here is the procedure:

1. Remove the handset from the charging cradle, and leave it on for a few days until the battery runs out, and the handset finally turns off. At his point, the battery will be very low, BUT NOT COMPLETELY DRAINED.

2. Next, you must manually drain the charge remaining in the battery by shorting out the two contacts on it. Shorting won't damage the battery, since it is holding very little charge at this point. An easy way to physically do this is to remove the battery, and place a piece of thin wire across the the two contacts of the HANDSET. I am referring to the contacts inside the handset that connect to the battery, NOT the contacts on the bottom outside that connect the handset to the charging cradle. Next, put the battery back in, sandwiching the wire between the battery's contacts and those inside the handset. This will hold the wire in place. DO NOT PUT THE HANDSET BACK INTO THE CHARGER, WITH THE BATTERY SHORTED OUT.

3. Wait about 30 minutes for the battery to completely die. Remove the jumper wire, and but the handset back into the charger.

4. If the battery was fully discharged , you will get a message on the handset telling you that you should let it will charge for 7 hours. If you do not get this message, then either the battery was not fully discharged, or your problem is different from mine. Try the procedure again in Step 3 for another 30 minutes to discharge the battery some more.

5. If you get the "Wait for 7 hours to charge" message on the handset, then leave it in the charging cradle for the 7 hours requested. After that, it should work fine.

Let me know how you make out.

Vtech phones loosing connection to base

You are pretty close to the solution. The problem is the charge detection in the handset. All handsets on a cordless phone detect the battery level with an hexadecimal value in the memory. Each hex value equal a volt value of the battery. EX: 3.5v = 9B
3.6v = 9C 3.7v =9D etc... The problem is the hex value in your defective handset are all mess up. So 9B is not 3.5v anymore. Then your handset could last 1hr after foul charge or doesn't alert you before the phone goes dead due to low BAtt.
