Panasonic DMR-EH57 Unlock codes

I can only play NZ region DVD's on my Panasonic DMR-EH57, but have just purchased some Region 1 DVD's (legitimate!) and now discovered they can't be played 'cos of the region codes.

How do I unlock my Panasonic DMR-EH57 and make it multi-region?

Send it or take it to your local authorised panasonic service center, they can normally do it while you wait. If it is under 12 months old then panasonic will normally pay for this, otherwise a small fee can apply, so if you are unsure on who is your local service, either give panasonic a call or check out there website.

Panasonic DMR EH57 bought brand new in Cyprus, only plays European region. Need to unlock it.
For this model, you cannot play DVD-Video if their region number does not include “1” or
“ALL”. Refer to the disc’s jacket for more information

New Zealand dvd will not play on my Panasonic dmr ez47v can you help please .
If DVD disc was purchase in New Zealand the region code is Region 4, if the Panasonic unit was purchase in the US it only plays DVD disc with region code "Region 1 and ALL". This information is found on the back label of the disc that has the code on the globe.

try this one, open the cd drawer,press 9,8,1,7 on the remote control, press enter till it shows region 9 and press return. hope it will work on your unit because it works on different model.

Hi, I've just been advised to go to Next Electronics Servicing in Christchurch (New Zealand) to solve this. This is apparantly who Panasonic send people to. I'll put up another post if it's successful.

Panasonic dmr-eh57 multi-region unlock code
I sent an e-mail to Panasonic New Zealand to ask about this, and they advised:
"Panasonic NZ no longer pre set DVD recorders or players for all region multi-zones. However, we will multi-zone for all regions on request. This needs to be done by an Authorised Service Centre, as a special service remote is used. Once delivered to one of these agents, the service company will charge the fee to Panasonic NZ."

If you're not in NZ, try contacting Panasonic in your own country. Just call up www.panasonic with your country code after eg. US = .com and NZ = .co.nz. It seems a *lot* easier than all those complicated hacks on the net. Now all I have to do is work out how to disconnect my DVD recorder again, and try to

All region un lock code for PANASONIC DMR EZ47V
I believe you must remove any disks in the unit & then on the remote controller, press 7 7 0 (the 0 is to make it region free)
