Hi i recently bought a lexus ls400 and it the trunk it has a ten disc cd changer by the steering wheel in the car is this little black box that keeps reading E-99 evertime i press play on this odd little box that is the control device to make the cd's play i've put the cd 's in the changer upside down right side up testing it and still the little black cd player play button/disc change button keeps saying E-99 my question is, is it a fuse or is this cd player thing near the stearing wheel just a peiece of garbage please contact me at [email protected] if you have any idea why this is doing this because i can't play any cd's theres no cd player where the cd/tape decks usually are in cars in the middle above the column shift. it would mean the world to me if you could help me out with any information as to why this brand new sony ten disc cd changer is giving issues to the cd player thing next to the stearing wheel on the right it's kind of hidden but it just won't stop saying e-99 no matter how brand new a cd i put in the changer thank you your friend john bunce

6 DISC CD Changer in trunk worked yesterday on 2002 mercedes clk430...says no cd changer

If your 6-disc CD changer in the trunk of your 2002 Mercedes CLK430 was working fine yesterday, but is now displaying a "No CD Changer" message, there may be a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the connections: Make sure the CD changer is properly connected to the car's audio system. Check the connections for any loose or disconnected cables. Also, check the fuse for the CD changer in the car's fuse box.
2. Check for jammed CDs: It is possible that one of the CDs in the changer is jammed, which can cause the error message to appear. Try pressing the eject button to see if any CDs are stuck in the changer. If so, try gently removing them.
3. Check the CD format: Make sure the CDs you are trying to play are in a format that is compatible with the CD changer. The CD changer may not be able to play CDs that are scratched or in a non-standard format.
4. Try resetting the audio system: Try resetting the audio system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes. This may reset the CD changer and fix any software issues.
If none of these solutions work, there may be a hardware issue with the CD changer. It may need to be repaired or replaced. You can consult a mechanic or audio specialist for further assistance.

Ford 6006e cd changer with e 3 error keeps happening

The only way to do it is to remove the radio using DIN radio removal tool - then you will have easy acces to remove cd's if you do not have this tools try to use coat hanger (do small catss on the ends)
(you can try to hold eject button and swich off - swich on button - probably it will not work but try few times

Good luck,

My XL-MP130 stereo makes a racket...

What your machine is doing is... whenever the unit is powered on or off the cd player resets itself and the clanking you hear is the cd changer resetting itself.  The plastic trays of the cd player are driven by plastic gears.  These gears are noisy when new, after a few years, they can make quite a clanking noise.  Most cd changers of this age have similar mechanisms and this type of noise is inherent in their operation.      I'm afraid the only solution is to replace the unit.  Opening the unit to lubricate the gears may cause more problems than it may solve, so I would not recommend it.

HU 850 CD stuck in player

One thing about Volvo CD player/changers...they tend to not like burned CDs and even more, burned CDs with labels on them.

I'd suggest against trying to get it out yourself.

You can get it replaced and the dealership should have a form so you can get your CDs sent back.

Bose Wave Music Sys & 3 CD Changer

I have had a few of these come to my shop. The gears jump out of timing causing the cd lift to jam or become unalligned. The unit will probably have to be disassembled to get the CD out or have it serviced.

Toyota dashboard CD player won't eject

I had this say problem with my 2000 solara. Here is the fix, remove one of the car battery terminals for a couple of mins (3-4mins). The reattach the battery terminal back. This would make your cd player and car clock reset. once you start your car you should be able to eject the cds. You'll just need to reprogram all your preset radio station. Hope it helps
