Take the battery out of the TP and then press down very hard on the spacebar. This will reconnect the flex cable and will fix it for the time being. But in the end a replacement will be needed.
That happen to me with my 1st phone. Reset the phone from the little reset button and if that doesnt work then take it to your companys store and they should replace it for free because that means the phone is defected, as I call it.
My keyboard went out twice already, I took it to my phone company and they traded it in both times at no cost to me. They just told me that has been happening alot with this phone. I would recommend just going to your service provider.
If purchased through a carrier, you'd need to return it to that carrier. If purchased directly from HTC, go to the HTC website to seek manufacturer defect repair under warranty.
