Huawei S2700-18TP-SI-ACis Layer 2 switch, Huawei S2700 series Switch cannot be used as a gateway. If it is used as a gateway, it sends all packets that need to be forwarded at Layer 3 to the CPU to forward the packets through software. This causes a high CPU usage. Because CAR parameters are configured to protect the CPU, a large number of packets are dropped, affecting forwarding of service packets.

you have to find which wire does what on your switch. Its a three speed fan so you should have three wires that go from the switch to the fan,and one wire that goes from the switch to the hot wire from your house. What you need is a continuity tester. The switches common wire connects to the hot wire from the house. To find this wire you use the continuity tester.as you switch the switch the common wire will be either disconnected from all other wires,or it will be connected one at a time to each of the other wires.only the common wire will be connected to more than one other wire from the switch. If you don't know how to use a continuity tester.it is pretty simple. It has two leads that come from it and when you touch the two wires together the tester lights,or buzzes,or it changes a reading on a display,or all three.depends on what kind you have.what your doing is instead of just touching the leads together your doing it through the switch leads, and hence through the switch.anyway after you find the common wire the other three wires connect to the inputs of the fan.You really want to connect the first wire that connects to the common through the switch to the wire that turns the fan on low then the next wire to the medium then the high.It wont blow up or anything if its in the wrong order, but it wont switch from low to medium to high.
SOURCE: cannot get the timer switch to function w/ 3-way Levitron NOM 057
When installing a digital timer switch into a 3-way lighting circuit, you typically have to install a jumper wire across the "travelers" on the 3-way switch at the other end of the circuit, in order to get the timer to function.
If you have an Intermatic brand timer, the jumper is included with the timer switch, usually it will be a small, about 2-3 inches long wire with fork terminals on each end.
You should have the power turned off before installing the jumper. Also, there is a distance limit (75-80 feet of wiring) as to how far apart the two (2) switches can be from one another, in order for the timer to work (with the installed jumper).
Normally, the travelers are one the same side of a 3-way switch, but you can use a voltage detector to confirm which wires are which (prior to turning off the power) to make installing the jumper easier. If you contact the manufacturer of your particular timer, they can email you a owners guide/installation pamphlet that shows the proper installation procedures for your timer switch.
If you have an Intermatic product, you can use the link below to contact them for the needed info.
