Sorry, according to CNET it's just a TV ( TFT active matrix to be exact)
* TV stores are selling older TV sets to make way for the smart TVs. Just like old VHS, VCD, and now DVD players are all obsolete.
* The cable companies are switching to HD or High Definition Digital TV. Though your TV is not smart, it does have the HDMI input which can also be connected to the cable box and the newer digital cable box. You won't be able to use channel 3 anymore to connect your TV to cable. It has to be another HD output like the V/A RCA, S-Video, IR cable or HDMI.
* But all is not lost as the "smart" TVs just has a "computer" an board allbeit a very simple Computer. It just connects to the internet and treats your TV as a monitor. You can get the same experience (maybe better as you have a key board with your laptop)
* You can also hook up a "Casting" device which also connects your TV (using the HDMI input) to connect to the internet and be controlled by a smart phone (using appropriate app) or laptop. Though you may need to check which device will work with the "Internet" channel your subscribing to. IE:Chromecast works with Netflix but not Amazon video. Mac Video only works with Mac and Iphones, etc.
* Since you already got the TV and I;m guessing you can't return it. Then upgrade with the cable company as the "Smart" TV options have to clear up and set a standard like the "BETA Max or VHS?" (I still have a BETA Video camera and Beta player) Internet companies producing vids number over a hundred channels that require a subscription to each channel and specific show. There are no 'blanket' all shows available channel anymore. Maybe someday there will be a be-all-end-all channel. but we have to wait for it. Possible ELON Musk (Space-X) may give us free internet and free shows! (Well if we go to Mars, then why not wish for.....;-)
