SOURCE: Jardine Crib 4 in 1

step 1: detach the front panel (part j) from the front posts h(1) and h(2) using allen wrench

Step 2 if mattress support (part K) is not in the lowest position, unscrew mattress support bolts (Part d) from the post and move it to the lowest position

Step 3: Using the wrench provided, attach the guard rail (part f) using 4 bolts (part a) between the left and right front posts

Step 4: tighten all screws clockwise.

SOURCE: changing from a crib to a toddler bed

1-Lower drop side to lower position. Then on the opposite side of the crib, remove stationary side. To remove stationary side, press the small tab on the end hardware(brown plastic piece that connects the rail to the frame) and then pull rail up.
2-Before reinstalling the conversion safety rail(csr), remove the mattress support bolt that is on the side the the csr opening will be(the foot of the bed). A new bolt will be used to reattach the mattress support in the next step.
3-Slide csr hardware onto the hardware on the crib ends. Insert two 1/4-20x2" bolts into each end. One bolt will replace the mattress support removed in step 2. Be sure to put the bolt back through the mattress support bracket before screwing into the end.

I have the instruction page with pictures if you would like a copy emailed.

SOURCE: Need instructions converting crib to toddler bed

I have all the instructions posted in an album on photobucket.com. In the site only search field (not the web search) type emilykenepp and change the search criteria from images to people. This should bring you to my profile- under my albums I have an album titled Graco Lauren Crib Assembly Instructions. Click on that and you should be good to go! Pages 10 and 11 are for the conversions. Also, for any further assistance, the customer service number for LaJobi (the people who actually manufacture the crib for Graco) is 1-888-266-2848 and for Graco it's 1-800-345-4109. Hope this helps!

Are there different types of toddler beds or a standard type in different styles?

There are quite a few varying types of toddler beds in the market. The first kind I will mention is a convertible crib. The great thing about a convertible crib is that it will last much longer. Some parents also find that a convertible crib eases the transition phase. Next there is the "captain bed" also known as a storage bed. This bed has built-in compartments everywhere - under the bed frame, in the footboards, even in the headboards. There are other types of toddler beds such as loft toddler beds, futon toddler beds, and platform toddler beds; however I think they are less popular and ultimately less safe for your toddler.

I have a vickie crib .I want to convert to toddler bed. If I take the front rail off there is'nt anything to hold the bed up in the front. It unscewss from the side. Help! Bed was purchaced 9/2008 ...

Is this a 4-in1 convertible crib? The Toddler bed will need the bottom railing and a half rail to convert from a crib to a toddler bed. The half rail can also be removed to make the 4th conversion to a toddler bed with out railing. But to convert this specific bed you DO have to add the bottom rail that came with the bed at purchase.

I lost the instructions and my son is ready to be in a toddler bed. I was wondering how do i covert the Graco - Lauren 4-in-1 Convertible Fixed Side Classic Crib into the toddler bed? and also do i need to...

You just take off the rail and Tada! it's a Toddler bed.
Then you can change from elmo sheets to Pokemon sheets and Tada! it's a Day/Bed. I don't know how they get away with advertising it as a 4-in-1 since there is no material difference between the daybed and the toddler bed.

Need to find Do Your Room Convertible Crib Manual (from Target)

Hi !!!
I also have the same crib.
I didn't have the manual but you just remove the side nails from the front part (two each side) and the front part will release with a few movements.

I also that the problem to find the toddler rail (the small one) do you find something yet?

I called Target (where I bought it) and they said that they don't sell it anymore. They give a phone number that is in Taiwan. I'm having a real trouble to find the rail to convert the crib to a toddler bed. My little daughter already fell from the crib and she had a broken arm.
