My Crosman 760 pumpmaster drops pellets into the cavity just below the breech and there is no discernable air flow, though it sounds as if everything is OK.

Just before this problem was noticed I made the mistake of shooting 6 H&N Rabbit Magnum II's of .177 calibre and they all jammed in the barrel. So, it had power at least then. I cleared the jam and added a couple of drops of gun oil,but nothing shoots because the pellets drop inside. Will I need to send it out for repair. As inexpensive and simple as this gun is I love it because it is rifled and pretty accurate. It has sentimental value too.

SOURCE: Can't find the specs in ftbs. my Gamo .177 Bone Collector is rated a 1300ftps. How far can expect to shoot accurately with this break barrel pellet gun?

Depends on who is shooting. But just test your skills on a 75 yard range. Shooting competition, with the special competition guns are shot at 10 meters (about 30 yards) Without a scoop, they easy shoot 80 % of all pellets through one .177 hole on 30 yards.

Crosman 760 Pumpmaster air gun

You need to use a rod to knock out the stuck pellet. A brass rod, available at your local hardware store can be used to good effect. Use a small hammer to tap it out.

I work the lever to load one BB. then pump 6 or 7 times. BB will not shoot out. When I pull the trigger, it sounds like it is shooting, but no BB comes out. this is for a crosman 760 pumpmaster. it...

Can you see through the barrel? Or run a rod down the bore? It sounds like the BB is either falling out the end of the barrel or the BBs are getting jammed up in there. Do not hold your hand in front of the barrel to see if any air comes out. You might get stung with 10 BBs. Hope this helps.
