Open the pump arm (fore stock) all the way and check the rubber O-ring for cracks. If it's just dry, get some Pellgunoil® Lubricating Oil or the equivalent from a gun/sporting goods store and oil it.

The trick to assembling the trigger mechanism is to assemble the trigger parts on the left half of the receiver. This will leave the v shapped spring hanging out the bottom of the trigger guard. I assembled the barrel to the right side of the receiver and then but the two halves together. loosely attached the halves with the two long screws. I then used a jewlers screw driver to work and hold the end of the V spring behind of the safety button hole. At this point I inserted the safty button into the hole as I gradually removed the screw driver. Then clamped down the attachment screws.
I spent some 2 hours figuring this trigger assembly out and another half hour putting it together. The biggest mystery was the use of the L shapped part. It ends up being assembled to the trigger pin. the cleat catching the back of the trigger and the long side of the L laying against the left side of the receiver (pointing up). The small tention spring ingages the back of this L shapped part (just above where the cleat ingages the trigger) and the other end of the spring ( the straight end) rests against the bottom of the receiver.

go to the crossman web site and see if they have a service diagram for that weapon or call their tech department and ask if the can send you a diagram on that model so you have somthing to go by next time take a table put numbers on it and place each piece under a number as you take it apart then just start from the highest number and go backward till you finish it thats ho the army dose it
SOURCE: what is an older powermaster 760 bb/pellet gun
well just seeing it's old might make it worth about 50$ for a collector to buy, but to actually use it might be worth about 10-20$ the best thing to do is 1. put it up in a local newspaper for sale or 2. go to Gunbroker.com and put it up for auction. Personally I'd say gunbroker, you have no idea how much money people make on there for selling things like Redryders and older guns.
