the point here is that you are not a qualified electrician with a contractors licence
If you were you would know that any unqualified person interfering with utility power is subject to jail time
There are regulations as to conduit standards and they have to be strictly adhered to for the safety of the property all of which you would be aware of if you were qualified
all of the work up to connecting to the power company meter can be done by a qualified electrical contractor which will be cheaper than the utility costs

No unless the amount of the bill exceeds the pension.

contact your bank let them know you did not authorise them to take money from your account

The condensate drain line was not properly installed. Make them pull the wall unit and correct the problem.
Be persistant until you are satisfied they have the problem corrected. Do not pay any additional money. If they do not correct the problem then report them online to the state board of heating and air. Fill out their requested complaint form and follow thru with a second complaint if you do not get total satisfaction from the contractor that installed the unit.
