Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Is there a way to replace the **** components in my Samsung 50' 6400 series LED smart TV so it will be a reliable monitor? seems like the only thing that will last on this lemon is the screen!!!!!

Hi Tom

Sorry to hear about your Lemon. I learned about Samdung products awhile back.
I refuse to buy any of their products because of their bad attitude.

The Non Innovators who reverse engineer to get ahead in the market & program devices to work super fast on benchmark tests.

A bit like FolksWagon did with falsifying dynamometer results for EPA readings.
I know all businesses can make mistakes and make poor choices. But, we really shouldn't support companies that blatantly falsify to get better market share.

All electronic devices (inc HD TV's) have problems with Electrolytic Capacitors fizzing out. It's a huge problem.
But I'm sure "some" companies buy underrated parts to insure they don't last too many years.
Go with respected companies like Sony, Panasonic, Hitachi etc.
and check the following before buying.
Warranty period
-(Nice if you can get 5yr like my Mitsubishi Electric Fridge)
User interface - The on screen controls. Ease of Use.
Input Ports - USB, HDMI etc
The video codec's that are supported. eg .avi, .MP4 etc
the more the better. (Look how many codec types VLC support)
Plug a HD drive into the USB. What movies can it support?

Cheers

How do I fix my Samsung 40 LED TV that has sound but no picture?

Here is what to check when your TV is turned on, power light is ON, but no picture is seen or sound is heard:

1 - Be sure the component you are using (Xbox, Cable, SAT, ROKU) is turned ON.
2 - Check to be sure all cable and cords are securely connected to the TV inputs and component outputs.
3 - Make sure you are on the correct input as some TV's will show a black screen if there is nothing connected to that input.
4 - Unplug the input you are trying to use from the TV (such as an HDMI Cable) and plug it back in.
5 - Check for signs of damage on all cords and cables from the TV to all components.
6 - Make sure the TV is not in ENERGY SAVE MODE, press the button on the remote control to go back to normal mode.
7 - Unplug the TV for 10 minutes to see if there was a temporary one time issue with the TV.
8 - Disconnect the TV from power for 2 minutes, then when plugging it back in PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE TV FOR 10 to 20 SECONDS to try and force the TV to reset.
9 - If after checking all these different issues, you may have a Faulty Power Supply Board, A Bad Capacitor on the Power Supply Board, Loose Wire Harness, or Loose Ribbon Connector in the TV itself.
10 - Most likely when a TV has the power light ON but NO PICTURE and NO SOUND, it is the Power Supply Board that has failed.

I have a 60" Samsung led smart TV class E series 6-6350 UN60F6350FXZA . It keeps turning on and off randomly. Mos commonly when I use a keyboard with it. It gets stuck in a on/off loop for a few minutes ...

I have a 50" Samsung led. and what mine did was click and click before turning on. the clicking time increased periodically until it just clicked and never turned on. I called Samsung and they said that '08 TV's were made defective and they sent a tech. to replace the power supply module and it's been working great ever since.
