You can still install the app if you download it form apkmirror and manually install it.

You may want to check their official website where you'll find the link to the apk : WhatsApp for Android

• Download it and pass it on your tablet using your usb cable
• Install with an explorer program (make sure third party softwares are allowed in settings)

Just Google with the same question, and on your own risk download any of the offered apps. Be aware whatsApp only should work with a phone number as client, so if you don't have a number on the Lenovo, watch out for the bad guys, who want to install software, that does not what you want it to do.
