Check internal "switch-mode-power-supply board" only after devoting about 1-2 hours of viewing "lcd monitor disassembly" and "lcd monitor repair" video clips at YOUTUBE!!! Then you will need to make big decision!!! Let me and all who read this know what your plan of action is.

Check your power cable and try to replace the cable and clean any dust on the LCD and try to switch on and check the power unit also

your power supply is bad or the back lights. you need to open the back cover and look for leaking or crown capacitors and replace them.

either press the - button or unplug and pkug to reset it

CHECK THE REFRESH RATE ON TH OLD COMPUTER MONITOR AND MOVE IT TO A HIGHER REFRASH RATE IN THE CONTROL PANAL, MONITOR, PROPERTIES, ADVANCE SETTINGS

I have exactly the same problem and am searching the web for a solution. I am unable to change any settings on the computer, because of the strobbing monitor (I don't have a reserve monitor). If anyone knows the cause and, more importantly, the solution to this problem, that would be most appreciated.

your monitor doesnt have drivers for it.. and doesnt need drivers for that matter. It sounds like you dont have the right drivers installed for your graphics card. here is a link to the drivers you need.

if the monitor green led is blinking continuosly the follow the steps remove the cable of the monitor which is connected to the CPU and watch the monitor it should show a message ( no input signal or cable disconnected, that means your monitor is OK the problem is with your CPU . try this and let me know
