There is a fault with Forerunner 50's - I replaced my battery three weeks ago, after three months of average use. It posted the "LoBatt" sign again the following day. Garmin offered to replace it with an overhauled product but I've gone for a refund instead.
I have just returned my Forerunner 50 to Garmin for an at-cost replacement (just over 40 pounds). The battery in the new unit has failed in less than a month. Solution - steer clear of these watches. There is either a fault with them or they are so power hungry that they are not useful. You just cannot rely on them not to fail at a crucial moment.
Hi, you need to use good batterys, the cost does make the amount of usage per battery differ, use more expensive well known brands for better results.
