How do I empty my recycle bin? what are the settings?
My recycle bin is set to trash all that's in every 24 hours.
I don't want that! I want to be able to decide which items will
be deleted and send the saved item to a folder.

Assuming its windows 8 on the desktop not the start screen- right click on recycle bin icon then left click select properties -there is a tick box labelled don't move files to recycle bin . remove files immediately when deleted. Untick this option.

Unfortunately, anything deleted from the system goes to Recycle Bin, and everything on the Recycle Bin can be "Restored". However, if you deleted it from Recycle Bin (Emptied Recycle Bin) those files can no longer be retrieved. It is like a permanent deletion of files.
Your videos may still be in the Recycle Bin/Trash. Try plugging the device back in to your computer, then check the Recycle Bin to see if the movies are there. If they are, delete them from the Recycle Bin (or empty the bin completely) and they will be permanently removed from the device.
Right-click on the Recycle Bin icon, which is on the desktop and choose "Empty Recycle Bin" This will delete all the trash items and empty the trash/ Recycle Bin
google recycle bin in DOS..there are some programs you can download to empty the recycle bin from the DOS prompt. The only other suggestion is to reinstall windows. Sounds like you got some corrupted programs.
