Kobo reader stuck in sleep mode

thats a small till . you can't

Check your connection to the Wi-fi make sure it is connected.

From what you say I would recommend a new unit

Move the on/off slider to the right and hold it there for at least 10 seconds before releasing it will turn the Kobo off. Any less than that and it goes to sleep.

I take it you are first going in to Kobo and then plugging in your e-reader, if it does not start to sync click on the button (top right) and it should sync - if this does not help - delete disk top and re-load
