This error message usually relates to the wrong third party scsi drivers being use.

Check what SCSI card you have installed and make sure you have the correct drivers and that you select the correct driver from the list at the appropriate time.

It is also possible that the SCSI card itself has a problem, but it is far more likely to be the wrong driver.

Physical disk not found

Move into Raid Controller bios (ctrl +c)
Check other hard drives are visible.
If yes, you may insert disk in other free slot and see if it detects on that slot. If same issue then particular hdd may be faulty. You have to replace it
If no, turn off server, reset scsi and power cables.
Turn on server and see if it detects hard drives. If server has same issue then either scsi cable or hdd back plane may be faulty. Chance is more for hdd back plane

NO HARD DISK FOUND DELL POWERDGE 1600SC

Is the HD SAS/SCSI/SATA on a raid controller?

If so you need to enter the RAID config (not the bios, but there will be a RAID config option during the boot process CTRL+M I believe.. but it will say on screen.) Then you need to set up the raid config, then initialise, then the drive will be detected for loading the OS.

Either that or the drive(s) shafted.

What sort of disks are you using?

Configure & install two scsi disks scsi disks in ML 150 G2

The SCSI driver is required to installed during the initial boot up for installation when additional drivers are asked .the new models dont come with a Floppy drive so an external floppy drive can be used .The detection of HDD s must be at the startup by the Bios os SCSI card.

if you are using raid go into the perc hardware utlity as it boots, try formating the drive there.maybe this will work.If you are using the dell open manage software you can probably format it there in windows. If you are not using raid enter the scsi utlity and do a format there.

Hi
While running the windows 2003 setup (winnt.exe), it will ask for SASI driver, you have to add the scsi driver... then windows 2003 os will detect the HDD.. then it will install..
