Why do I not get power when I plug in the fryer? Is there a reset button on this model 1068?

If the reset button is not tripped, it is likely that a wiring connector has failed or the on-off button is defective.

Check the power supply first. You need to have 220volts for and electric fryer to operate.

I HAVE A DEEP FRYER EURO # F 1068 WHICH HAS BEEN USED VERY SPARINGLY SINCE PURCHASED APPROX. 2 YEARS AGO. YESTERDAY I PLUGGED SAME IN AND THE ENTIRE HEATING UNIT FAILED COMPLETELY, DEADER THAN A DOORNAIL, DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY ?? CAN THIS UNIT BE REPLACED IF SO WHERE AND HOW DO I GET REPLACEMENT.
AM VERY DISCOURAGED OVER THIS MALFUNCTION.

There is a thermal cutoff near the heating element just like all appliances that make heat. It's supposed to stop a house fire but makes these appliance companies a lot of money.

Normally, that little red button is the reset button...

have a look round the back of it theres usualy a small reset button if that does not work or there isnt one , and its under guaratee take it back to were you bought it and have them sort it

This just happend to ours after my wife changed the oil , appaerntly she did slide the control unit back into the fryer body all the way , there is a switch inside the slot on the control unit, when properly put back together and slid down all the way it will close the circit so the unit will get power (thats what was wrong with mine , after disasembling the whole friggin thing ...lol......also there is a red reset button in the back , acualy looks like a screw would be there , but its a button in one hole make sure its pushed in.

Check your plug fuse is ok 1st, reset could be thermal automatic..wait a wee while 1st

Hey guys I fixed my problem...yay. All I did was to push a red button which I beleive is a resset button on the back of the on/off button part. It ain't visible but if you look in the holes of the screws that hold this part together (they are far down in the hole) one of them hides a small red button. Push it down with a toothpick or anything small enough to fit the hole and you're done. Plug it back and it works.

You have to make sure that the control panel slide rails are correctly inserted.
I was very frustrated, and considering I did not have the packaging/receipt, was ready to toss. My Wife slid the control panel/elements out off the pan, then back in, voila!
